Awesome Idea; Poor Execution
I just placed an order for battery #3 after one of the first two batteries failed after two seasons of use. It is painful to spend this much on a battery in the first place, but even worse knowing how quickly one of them failed. Additionally, it takes two batteries to even get through a day's snowmobile ride as they deplete quickly. What is maddening is the fact 509 hasn't even bothered to address the issues of battery life by improving battery design, or at least offering an onboard charging solution. (There is a cigarette plug 12v charger that can be adapted and I'm going to do that this season, but something that wires straight to a sled battery would be more useful.) So why am I buying another battery after being way less than impressed? It's the only game in town. My daughter fogs terribly and this is part of the solution to fix it; got to keep her happy if I want to have fun riding.

Easy to lose and expensive to replace
EXPENSIVE! Not worth the money! The battery life doesn't last very long. Its bulky heavy and if you lose the velcro strap that comes with it you can kiss your battery goodbye because the design of the clip that holds the battery onto your Goggles is terrible. The only thing I can say is the Google's are comfortable... for the money I would definitely look at other brands of heated goggles

2.5 star for me
Listen, when it’s charged it works fine. Don’t need all day unless you’re in minus -20+. Normally I would turn on early morning or at night. BUT the one didn’t even last a full season, yes just ordered another only because my helmet and goggles are far more expensive to replace than a $140 battery.I wouldn’t go with goggle type again with 509, I’m just stuck with them now.

IMPORTANT!!!
They work great. The cord plug in at the battery will be a problem very soon, as confirmed through friends wha have purchased. Look for the new. battery that comes with an attached short connector pig tail rather than a direct plug in right at the battery and you should be fine!
