Bosch CS10 7-1/4 In. Circular Saw

Great saw! Has plenty of power and cuts like a hot knife through butter! Accurate too.

Just got it today, delivered on time. I’m a DIY’er and had a couple of PT 2x10s I needed to rip, and it cut them like a hot knife through butter. I burned up my old Skil 5250 trying to do the same job. Granted it was 30 years old, so I can’t complain. But WOW! what difference, even with the stock blade. I am impressed, and couldn’t be happier. Highly recommend.

Excellent tool. Comfortable to use. Not too heavy. Comes with a decent blade included. I’m very satisfied with its performance. The included bag is excellent.

This a great saw. Really powerful and made like a tank as you expect with Bosch. The rafter hook is a nice feature but I suspect it adds a bit of weight to an already heavy saw. There are two issues with the saw: one minor and one that made me return the saw. The minor issue is that there is no 'onboard' storage of the wrench, despite the description stating that there is. The major issue has to with use of 'detent springs' for the bevel and depth of cut adjustments. These allow the user to 'click' the saw to stops at 22.5 and 45 degrees on the bevel and different thicknesses on the depth of cut. These pre-formed pieces of spring steel do not provide accurate settings (you get 50 degrees instead of 45) and when you are trying to 'manually' adjust your bevel or depth of cut, the spring guide wants to 'pull' the saw to one of the predetermined depths. This gets frustrating if you are trying to set a bevel/depth that is not one of the detents. I talked to Bosch and they sent me a new spring for the bevel adjustment but it was not accurate either. I could not get it to detent accurately at 45 degrees. So I reluctantly returned the saw.

The quality of this saw is amazing. it is more powerful than most saws, but also much quieter. I bought it because of those two reasons, and i was very happy that it lives up to it's reputation. The difference in quality from other saws is evident from unboxing to running. Much quieter than other saws.

After ordering this I saw some other reviewers had said newer versions of this saw had a plastic faceplate and didn't come with the carrying bag. That the saw as a result of the plastic footplate didn't stay square with the blade and would easily warp. I received the saw today, it had the magnesium plate and did include the carrying bag. So either I got lucky, or those talking about a lack of bag and plastic plates got ripped off. Either way, I'm quite happy with the saw. It works extremely well. Cuts quite fast and cleanly.

I bought this saw from amazon for just over one hundred dollars and was very pleased when it arrived. The saw is built tough ( no plastic parts) very nice to see. good power but quite heavy which is to a degree a good trait because it allows for smoother cuts in certain positions. However cutting fence posts in place and any cutting above your head i wouldn't recommend with this saw as it does have more weight than you would want in those positions. A great saw all in all!! Very happy with my purchase. A ryobi made out of plastic parts would cost you 60 bucks and won't cut straight no matter how hard you tried because it weighs a feather. Great bang for your buck, only you might also want to invest in a second lighter saw for awkward cuts. I love the steel components it's made up of, you can easily tell it's built to last and take abuse if your a carpenter as i am.
