Laser Etched Crystal Cube Light Up LED Base 3 inch with Adaptor

My daughter gave me one with a etched picture of Jesus. While I absolutely refrain from religious objects and portraits that are fairy tales, the picture of Jesus Christ, my Saviour is not even Biblically close for he is described as 100% God, 100% man with no outward features that would attract anyone to him based on that idol and it's representation of Him is complete heresy.However, it arrived rapidly from China and is silent and works perfectly. I chose to keep this idol because I treasure it as a gift from my daughter who is still seeking Him and I could not bear to throw it away. The rotating base that came with it smoked, crackled and banged because I plugged in the wrong power supply. My fault, I had put it in a safe place but could't find it. There is no problem with the new power supply, no buzz, noise or excessive heat. With these purchases since quality control is probably nil, a bad one will probably come along once in a while. I got a good one besides Amazon would make good on the purchase anyway.

This is a nice display option for those of us who have crystal art that will be enhanced by color, light or rotation. I have several of these and they are very nice. Each is lighted with lights that don't "BLINK-BLINK-BLINK". The lights slowly transition from color to color as the base silently rotates to show off every side of your treasure. This model offers you the option of batteries (not included) or electrical supply (included). Made to sturdily rotate even a LARGE crystal piece. So glad I found this item.

We were contacted by the vendor the very next day to let us know that they were actually out of stock on the 3" LED base. We were offered the 4" in exchange at no extra cost, or a full refund. I accepted the exchange and am very happy with the product. It is nice having the option of using batteries or the power cord. This stand is for an item I gave my son a few years ago while traveling for work. Now it is very important to him and this base worked wonderfully for replacing the original.

I don't know why others found this product so unsatisfactory. I plugged it in upon receipt and it has been running 24/7 for more than a week now. The movement is, for all practical purposes, silent. You can hear a slight sound if you get close enough to it, but it DOES NOT intrude in the over all ambiance of the room. The colors are beautiful and the rotation is smooth and flawless. I would definitely recommend this item to anyone that wants a little light for their crystal(s). The seller was also very prompt and delivered the product in LESS than the projected time for delivery as stated on the order.

As others have said about this product, it develops a clicking noise and wont turn shortly after use. The fix for it is to remove the bottom and loosen the screws on the motor mounting and push the motor over so the plastic gears make better contact with each other. The colored LED's look nice through a glass object placed on the turntable.Since I wrote the review in DEC 2013 my base has quit turning entirely. It is now August 2014 and a inspection reveals that the plastic gears have worn extensively and left a small mound of plastic on the motor where the gears mesh. The motor no longer runs but the LED's still work as they always have. It is not used continuously only occasionally in the evening while sitting in the den. I have reduced the rating to 1 star and would not recommend this product.

I have a glass jellyfish that I put on top of this. It slowly spins and changes color. I love it. It's very beautiful and I use it as a night lite in the living room. The only problem is that the slow spinning and vibration makes my jellyfish fall off so I used a little but of clay and put dots around the figurine to keep it in place. It has been running for many many months and I haven't had a single problem with is aside from the figurine falling off.

The media could not be loaded. I got this to light up and display something different than crystals. What's cooler than a glowing Fallout 4 Nuka Cola Quantum bottle?My family loves the game Fallout, and we were able to grab one of the limited edition Jones Soda Nuka Cola bottles from Target. I thought it would be cool if we could put some LED lights under it to make it glow as it does in game, and recalled seeing LED base lights for crystals. A few searches on Amazon and I found this, and it rotates, how cool is that!I was concerned that the color cycling of the LEDs would make this look weird, but it actually works quite well. The bottle cycles from green through various shades of blue (it's normally blue), and it's a slow, gradual change. The rotation speed is just right. it takes about 30 seconds to make a full rotation. I included a video showing the speed of rotation as well as the rate of color change. Note that the flickering is due to the interaction of the LED's pulsing and my digital camera. This isn't visible to the naked eye.The only reason I didn't rate this a full 5 stars is due to noise. While not loud, if this is not in some sort of display cabinet, you'll likely hear the motor. If you listen to the video, you can hear the hum. That's inside a curio cabinet, with music playing in the background.UPDATE 6/6/2016: After a few months, the LEDs started flickering, as though one of the colors was out. I contacted the seller and they sent me out a replacement, so excellent service on their part. Several months later again, and I started having issues with things on display "walking" off every few days. The motor was vibrating enough to cause things to slide off. I was able to open it up and disconnect the motor easily enough to stop that from happening. Not long after that, it's now exhibiting the same LED flashing issue as the first one. It still works, but it's not as reliable as I'd hoped. The moving parts I can understand, but the LEDs should be able to handle 24x7 constant use easily.
