Easton Medium Black

Ordered these doors on Saturday and they were waiting for me after work on Monday. Doors arrived well packed and without any damage. Amazing service from Amazon. I installed them that night. The directions were pretty good but watching the video on Youtube really helped. Installation was pretty easy and I only have one beef about the process. My beef is that the thumbscrew on one of the clamps that hold the top of the door frame to the lintel bar (or in my case the bare brick lintel, my old fireplace doesn't have a lintel bar) kept slipping downward and the clamp would fall off the lintel.By way of further explanation, the clamp that secures the top of the frame against the lintel is an L shape. The horizontal part of the L sits up against the bottom of the lintel and the vertical part of the L holds the lintel from the back. A thumbscrew through the back of the vertical part of the L locks clamp against the back of the lintel. The vertical part of the L was a little short so that as I tightened the thumbscrew, the tip of the thumbscrew slid down the back of the lintel and came off. If the vertical part of the L was longer, the thumbscrew wouldn't move enough to slip off and it wouldn't have taken as much effort to get it to stay in place. Ultimately I got it to hold securely and the doors are soldily in place. I didn't have the same problem with the other clamp so I'm not sure why I had any problem at all.In short, now that they are installed securely, the doors look great and seem to function the way they are supposed to. They are solid, secure, and heavy in a good way. I'm very happy with the way they improved the look of my fireplace and my wife and kids also like the way they look.

Installation was easy to do with one person. It cut down on drafts and looks nice. Highly recommend.

We are re-doing a living room, and this piece is a great centering point for the trim and accents in the space. It makes our 1947 fireplace look new and in-style. Easy to put in with two people (one has to hold it in place while the other screws the brace on -- not hard, it just requires three hands), and the finish is exceptionally well done.

When we got this it had two different handle sizes which we thought was annoying but not a deal breaker as we assumed we could just replace one of them. That didn't even matter in the end because our opening is 37" exactly and the medium that we ordered does not fit that. There are gaps on the side.

Ordered these doors to replace the old ugly gold ones that came with the house. Based on other reviews, I order the medium size to ensure it would cover my opening. Based on my dimensions and the dimensions provided for the doors, I thought I had plenty of side overlap. Even at the medium size, it was close. The height from top to bottom was more than fine, however. Still very pleased with the look of these doors. Seem very well constructed and were very easy to install.

Fireplace doors are gorgeous

We use our wood fireplace nightly, and this is THE ANSWER for keeping popping fires in place and for safely leaving embers when we head to bed. We’d been using a really heavy, awkward custom made “lid” that took up space when the fire was going, and was getting harder for me to lug around. It is well made, sturdy, easy to put together; the glass doors open all the way against the mantle. The design is modern and a nice “facelift” in my old farmhouse.A important word of caution:You’d better have the tools and the know how to securely install this piece; I saw a number of them on FaceBook Marketplace that were rendered useless by unskilled purchasers. This piece has to be affixed in place: it is imperative that you have tools to drive the right kind of screws and glue to attach this product to whatever is is that your fireplace is made of. Ours is brick and concrete.

I was looking for an alternative to an expensive gas fireplace insert, and thought this looked like a good option. I first saw it on Amazon, but when I saw a display model in another store I was convinced. I bought on Amazon since they actually had it in stock, whereas you will have to special order other places. This fireplace is well-built; the gauge of the steel is very thick and the doors opened and closed flawlessly without adjustments (there are instructions for how to adjust the doors).Installation was super easy. You really can install without any tools if you don't use the riser bar, which is a 2" bar that makes the fireplace a bit taller depending on the size of your fireplace. Even that only required a screwdriver and pliers. It is basically attached by clamping to the steel beam that is standard on the inside of a masonry fireplace. The only part of the installation I didn't like was adding the fiberglass insulation, which I did outside to avoid making a mess.I've used this about 10 times since I've owned it and have been very happy. It really cleans up the room since we don't have to looked at a sooty fireplace when the glass doors are closed. I already bought another one for my other fireplace.One more note; you have to leave the glass doors open when there is a fire. I think this is true with most fireplaces, but the image is misleading. The doors open 180 degrees so you get a full view of the fire.

Initial impressions are, it’s a surprisingly well made piece.Decent gauge of steel, fabrication and fit are of good quality, and coating is fine.Install easily, the doors and screen open and stay closed nicely with the magnets supplied.So far I’ve no complaints.

Love the fire screen! Easy to install. Just had to add a bit more insulation at the top since it was going against bumpy plaster and allowed smoke to drift out. Once plugged up, it was perfect. Love it!
