Great for cueing you to sit straight.
For work, I am sitting at a desk working on a computer for much of my day. I notice my slouching and sloppy posture, then straighten up - only to find that the thought slipped my mind and I'm slouching again. I opted to try a posture corrector in this style a few years ago. I bought a well known/well advertised brand (you may know it by the gorilla logo) and sized it according to their size chart. Due to discomfort and poor fit - I stopped using it. Now, due to working from home during the pandemic, my posture is even worse. I'm hunched over a laptop and my muscle tone to keep me upright has diminished. I needed something to help me stay conscious of staying upright. I bought this posture corrector in hopes of finding an inexpensive fix as I just need a reminder sometimes when I creep back to poor posture.Packaging is lackluster and appears economical - but for the price, I wasn't expecting anything fancy anyways. There is a plastic plate as the base of the brace and while it did ride up occasionally and would cause some discomfort at the back of my neck/top of the shoulders - it did serve as a good reminder to straighten up. Whenever I felt that plastic, I would pull my shoulders back and the contact would lessen. It was this slight discomfort that made the support successful for me. The old support I had was all cloth in the back and as such, it was much too flexible to create correction - even when the shoulder straps were fastened tightly. Also to note - on the older more well known brand, the small plastic rings that the shoulder straps were thread through would turn sideways and create a pinch point. If they stayed in position without turning, The straps would be comfortable and positioned correctly. The design was flawed. However; with this posture corrector, I was pleasantly surprised that there was not a similar concern. The straps fastened firmly without being too tight and without pinch points. This provided the correct resistance/tension on my shoulders that also reminded me the pull the shoulders back.It easily conceals under sweaters and sweatshirts - I wouldn't wear it under a closer fit t-shirt or drapey blouse. It can be worn for any length of time without annoyance (as long as you continue to train yourself to use the discomfort cues to correct your posture). After using it for a full day, the next day, I noticed certain muscles felt kind of sore. It really clued me into just how far I've let my slouching go and how much I need to train targeted muscles to keep my back, shoulders, and core in check to keep a nice posture. After wearing for a few days, that soreness diminished and I am noticing I go longer without feeling any tension to remind me to sit up.I think if you use this corrector for more of a reminder device and not expect it to do the work for you, then it is surely worth it. I paid less for this than the name brand brace from years ago and I feel it is better constructed and more effective.

GIVES SLIGHT SHOULDER PRESSURE helping to stand/sit upright.
The brace has comfort padding. Thin enough to wear under garments. Was looking for more support, but it does help to keep shoulders back. Reminds one to sit or stand tall to work with the shoulder pull. For the price of less than $15.00 USA the product is ok. I am 5 ft 10 inches tall 144 pounds.

I needed this for my back cause I'm always sitting at my desk arched over like a bow. After 30 mins of that I pull my self back up in pain. This keeps me from bowing over. It has helped me keep my posture right. I should of got one of these long time ago. After keeping my form in the way the body is meant to be, it may even create a habit for me to keep my posture upright even with out the aid of posture correction straps. Wishing. Till then I'll keep using this as often as possible.review imageOne person found this helpfulHelpfulComment Report abuseAvonLady5.0 out of 5 stars Well made and comfortableReviewed in the United States on August 23, 2020Size: LVerified PurchaseThis is well made and more comfortable than I thought it would be. I ordered the large by mistake but like it because I could cross it across my chest. Seemed to work better for me that way. I wore it for 20 minutes when I received it and was surprised when I took it off I maintained the correct posture for awhile so will update after I wear it longer. It is suggested you start with wearing only 20 to 30 minutes a dayOne person found this helpfulHelpfulComment Report abuseChinni5.0 out of 5 stars Corrects your postureReviewed in the United States on September 12, 2020Size: MVerified PurchaseI work in the IT field, and I sit at my desk a lot of the time.I have been battled neck and shoulder pain. I tried exercises and stretches on a daily basis but didn’t help much. So I started looking for product that would support my shoulder, I came across this product. It’s so perfect for me. Holds shoulders in posture. The fabric and other materials are good quality. I tried the this Posture Corrector and within one day the pain decreased because I had a constant reminder to maintain the correct posture. I was able to wear the Corrector approx 2 hours the first day before the straps became uncomfortable. The next day was just under 2 hours in the morning and then another 3 hour in the evening. After few uses it's very comfortable using for many hours. After using it couple of days I've already noticed my posture has improved. The straps have become more comfortable because my posture is improving lessening the pressure of the straps. I would recommend this product
