Pressure Switch MPSHD3050 MERRILL MFG 30-50 PSI - Heavy Duty

The contacts on my old pressure switch were worn pretty good and since I had to replace the submersible and pressure tank I thought I’d replace the switch too. I like the wire connections on this switch. The wires go in straight and an Allen wrench screw secures them. I makes a good, tight connection. I pre-charged my pressure tank to 28 psi, installed this switch and it works perfectly.

My old switch had used puxh on spade connectors. This one, as stated in description, has screw on. That's a good thing. Much safer and more secure. I had to cut the spades off the pump wires and tinned the ends so that it was solid and hooked the switch up to the pumb. Did not have to adjust the On/Off pressure as they were perfect straight from the factory. Highly rate this switch. Only time will tell how long it will last but I feel I won't have any problems for a long, long time. Now, I just need to keep the ants away so they don't get fried and clog the switch contacts. Highly recommend this switch.

I have always used SD pressure switches. The Merrill are solid construction and I prefer their method of securing wires by screwing down the wire harness as opposed to securing simply using only a screw head.
