Well made little boxes for a good price. Perfect for our family craft project

Oriental Trading never disappoints. I am carving designs (chip carving) onto the covers, and these boxes are perfect for me to practice. If I mess one up, no big deal. If it comes out nice, I will stain it and it will become a very nice present.

These boxes were perfect for the little trinket boxes I wanted to make for my grandkids. They had a nice hinge on them and the magnetic closure was a plus. They did require a light sanding prior to painting. I used acrylic paint (2 coats) on a couple and spray painted a couple of them. Both worked well.

I have an Etsy jewelry shore. I purchased these boxes with the intent of making a gift box upgrade that would be something the recipient would want to keep and repurpose. The finish was WAY too rough on these to simply paint or a apply a finish, and the hardware was not level and well-aligned. Since I would have to spend way too long finishing the wood to make then be able to paint the boxes, I sent them back. I wasn't going to be able to charge enough for the box to cover the effort it would take to make them something I would sell. That said, they are fairly affordable/good value, so if time isn't an issue and you're open to purchasing better hardware, these may fit your needs. They are very lightweight, but the hardware didn't always line up well, limiting their ease of use.

I bought these as a gift to my book club members. Filled them with trinkets. Great size, but what I failed to realize is that they have magnetic closure. Even better yet. You can decorate them, fill them, and gift. Great wooden box for the price.
