Easy to use, makes clean consistent cuts. The blade design works well and the pill centering is simple and accurate but the mechanism could be a little more robust. Time will tell. So far, very pleased. Works great.

I recently switched my dog to the compounded version of Pimobendan, in an effort to try and save a little $. The new pills are tiny, just barely 5mm. , and my regular clam style pill splitter wasn’t doing a very good job. Decided to give this one a try, and it’s working out much better. I have to really take my time, and apply even pressure when I press down to cut the pill, but it’s worth the effort. Sometimes I still end up with a few crumbs, but I just use a pill pocket to pick them up. The name brand pills were quite a bit bigger, and even though they were flavored, I still had a hard time getting my dog to chew them up. Now he’s happy to get his tiny 1/2 pill treat twice a day!Also, because theses pills are so tiny, I can cut the pill pocket into 4ths, which also saves money.

Very happy with this, it works great. I was able to cut an odd shaped pill with out any scoring with no trouble at all. I would recommend.

I was originally shipped https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0DWMP6B6S?th=1 by mistake. After clearing that up I received this item correctly. I've cut over 100 round 10mm wide pills and this device which has worked better than any I've tried up to this point. Perfect cuts, very minor residue if any, and fairly simple to use. You can only do one pill at a time but the dual blades really make for a clean cut. You just need to get the feel for the top lid pressure, I put my whole palm on the lid and gently push down for a clean snap every time. I'd almost give this 5 stars since it's so easy to use but it does have a quirk with getting your pill set in the "V" and then sliding the bar back to lock it into place, By the time you get the lid on (since this part tends to move the pill sometimes) you may need to readjust the pill with the locking tab once more (very minor gripe though). This is a "slow and steady" pill cutting process and it produces flawless perfect splits for me every time but If you need to cut a lot of pills, you may want to get one of the splitters that does 4-6 pills at once instead though.

Works well, seems sturdy. Holds various sizes. Hubs is very happy with it.

Two different meds....both needed halved. Could not break in half, cutting with knife made a mess, scissors worthless, and cutter with "V" shape for placing tiny pill was as bad as all the rest of ways I tried. But THIS cutter is PERFECT...cut tiny round, and oblong tablets in even halves with no problem. So worth the 20 bucks! ❤️

If you need to cut your pulls, please try this device!! I have tried several different pill cutters and this one does the job perfectly 95% of the time! It will occasionally cut crooked, but that is usually user error, not device error!! There's very limited crumbling from the cut. In all the other devices I tried, there was always crumbling from cutting. This has bottom and top cutting blades to evenly cut without chipping the pill. I use it at least 5 times a day, literally, and not been disappointed! The price is right on point, and less expensive than most!! Definitely worth it.

The pill cutter doesn’t fit an Allegra pill. My purpose of this purchase was to cut Allegra into fourths, but the oblong-shaped pill is too long for this device. The device also feels flimsy. The blue plastic pieces to align and hold the pill in place are a thin plastic that could snap/break easily. The pill twists/rotates and isn’t securely held. While the white plastic ‘floor’ the pill rests on is supposed to depress downward to allow for the bottom blade to come up, the whole thing is very wobbly. I think this item could potentially break easily. I wasn’t impressed. I found a different scissor-like pill cutter that better meets my needs.
