I am giving 5 star to Exploring the Religions of Our World book as there is no other Catholic book as I deemed suitable for catechism classes that was crafted to cater the need to teach the comparative religion in the spirit of Nostra Aetate of Vatican II.There were tons of books on comparative religions by Catholic authors yet Sr Nancy Clemmons made it easier for the high school student and young adult like me to digest it. It is also important that while this book written essentially on the major world religions, this books also provides insights of cult that turn into religions from Christian and American roots.Most religions made truth claim and so do Catholics as presented in this book. There is absolute truth whether we know it fully or still in search for it. Each claim to possess it. But it is important for the individual to be respectful and knowledgeable as we live in a pluralistic society.Presented in a good spirit manner, well respected and not to resort to watering down Catholic faith, I found it very helpful to learn the similarities and differences of Catholic Christianity with all other religions.Perhaps the only improvement that I would like to suggest to the author or initiative for the readers is to expand the Catholic lens section more systematically and thoroughly enough. Plus it is good also to have some sort of chart or table on this.I recommended this book for extra read for every Catholic to know their faith plus knowing other faith in order to engage in dialogue and also new evengelisation. It is very useful for catechism classes (Sunday school) as the main subject or extra subject for Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults (RCIA) classes.

The book is in good shape but wasn’t really what I was expecting. I don’t like that it compares other faiths to Catholicism.

This is an extremely well written and developed book, providing great insights and accounts of religions and the history behind them. I highly recommend this book for those who seek to truly understand the whats, whys, and hows of various religions. To understand the religions of others is to truly come to better understand oneself.

The book was used when I received it and a little beat up, but still a good book. I am an adult and wanted to learn more about world religions. I'm not done reading it yet, but I have found it to be very informative thus far.

It's was barely used and had clean and neat pages best money I have ever spent

We received this book in the mail last week. It is well written, with color photos. It is also an easy read for my 12th grader. We are Catholic homeschoolers and using this book for his religion text for this year. Highly recommend.
