This works great for my 3 elderly Maine Coon cats when they have an accident during their year-long shedding season. Lots of hairballs all year despite regular brushing, plus the oily thick hair on a Maine Coon makes this invaluable. It conditioned without stripping, yet cut down on unnecessary oils. The deshedding aspect really does work, as we could see after the bath. Old hair breaks down a bit and since we have a screen over our tub drain, we can see the results. They feel great to hold and smell beautiiful. After some brushings/combings after they dry, more of the de-shedded hair will easily brush out. Do not let the cat dry without combing and brushing as soon as the hair is nearly or all dry. If you have a cat who can hack it, or a kitten learning how to handle baths, try a blow-dryer on low heat and a gentle wide-tined comb or brush to dry your pre-towel-dried cat to keep matts from forming. That is a technique from days when a parent owned Persian cats...essential tactic for some breeds.Most good cat shampoo is not really sudsy, and you may have to use quite a bit to really coat and suds up an extra-large cat. For a short haired cat this bottle should last a long time.

I wouldn't say it's a "miracle" shampoo, like it says on the bottle. I bought this because I'd run out of my Shed-X which I really liked, but wasn't as happy with it as the Shed-X. It didn't really curb any shedding, and after reading the bottle the directions say to wash your pet once a week for best results. There's no way I'm going to wash my cat once a week! She gets a bath once a month and even THAT is an ordeal! I like the smell, it's very much like candy but doesn't linger on my cat for too long, which is nice. It did get her clean, but I was looking for it to cut down the shedding a bit, which it didn't.

This was a great purchase ! My cat is a domestic longhair, so she sheds everywhere ! She sheds a lot less with this shampoo, and smells great ! My apartment is a lot cleaner and my cat doesn't have a hairball problem anymore ! The smell of the shampoo lasts for a couple of days and isn't overpowering !

Smells good but the scent doesn't last long. It didn't do much for shedding my cat is still shedding a lot.

My cat was shedding big chunks of fur for days after I bathed and brushed her. So I'm not really sure if that is a good thing or not because now she is very soft and doesn't shed butttt idk if it was worth it.

I bathed my unwilling cat as best as I could. She smells amazing, and she also has a very soft coat right now!
