Very useful
This is a great invention. We keep a spare set of keys in ours and some cash incase we ever need them. I love having the peace of mind that I will never be stranded and locked out of my car.

Well-made, solid product - worth the money.
I hesitated to buy this because of the cost, but it has been a great product and well worth the money. The lock has worked flawlessly for the last 15 months. It's easy to take out and put back in when you need the hitch for towing. We've driven a ton off road on washboard roads and the cover stays put and keeps dust out of the lock. The only issue we've had is some of the rubber coming off the cover and the metal rusting under it. (see pic) I'll be super bummed to pay another $20 for a new cover when it finally fails.

It's pretty hard to bungle this awesome thing!!!
Impressive product. It looks very premium (and it IS!) it fit perfect and it was SO easy to set the combination (I never even looked at the instructions.... I AM a man after all....) I can highly recommend this gem. Now I never have to worry about locking myself out of the car or the house. 11 stars!!!!!

Solid, but keep it maintained
I was looking for a trailer hitch cover to keep dirt, water, etc..., out of my Wrangler hitch, and came across this. Thought the idea was great - I get a storage container that will secure stuff when needed (without a key) and a nice rubber cover that keeps things clean and dry. Price was a little high, but, again, you get what you pay for, and no one else has a good solution. That, plus a good hitch cover would cost me a few bucks anyway. This was easy to install (I guess as long as you don't have a tacoma and need other bolts) on my Jeep. I used a few of the spacers to get a nice tight fit. I also put some grease about the bolts and inside to keep some of the water off/out.Changing the combination was a snap with the attached (and also online) instructions. I won't be using this all the time to hold a key, but certainly will use it when I don't want to risk losing my key(s) or wallet when out somewhere. I have a Loksak 3 x 6 Inches Pouch ready to put keys in if I expect to have them in there for some time, just to keep the weather off of them.I recommend taking this out when you change your oil/rotate your tires, and do some "maintenance" on it. Check the combination, wife off the grime, ensure it is not rusting. If you do that, you won't be faced with a rusted out (or rusted shut) safe when you need it most.

Its like a safe, but on your hitch!
So after an embarrassingly late delivery time comparative to the "estimated" date (which is forgiven since the estimated date must have assumed that I lived next door to the warehouse and not in another country) the package arrived, and I opened it as excited as a child on Christmas morning. To my horror though, the hitchsafe was in that sort of plastic packaging that you need an orbital laser to cut through. Several cursing fulled hours later, I had it out of the package.Changing the combination? No problems assuming you have a really small screwdriver. Luckily I did. So I was changing that combination like it was no bodys business!Attaching the device to my car was actually surprisingly simple. All of those new spanners and hammers and hacksaws and what not that I have sitting in the shed will have to wait another two years to be useful - No tools required! It also looks similarish to the old cover, so its not noticeable - only the most observant of beach car park thieves will see it for what it really is.One minor issue I discovered with the hitchsafe - and its not really an issue with the hitchsafe itself - is that my stupid car key doesnt fit into the "unmodified" safe tray, its about 2mm too long.... so as it turns out that hacksaw did come in handy after all.Went for a dive to test out my hitchsafe at an unsecured beachfront location - and when I arrived back at my car, it and all of my possessions located inside it were still there. Mission accomplished. Thanks hitchsafe for making it possible for me to use my car to partake in the the activities which would normally destroy my fancy pants car keys...Or I could have just used my girlfriends car... which has one of those "non computerised keys" which you can "put in the water" and not be "destroyed" so you dont have to "pay $600 for a new one"....
