Easy Installation - Works Great! :: Plus a 19-month usage UPDATE!
After having used this deadbolt lock for about two months now (see below for 5-2021 update), I can share with you I am totally satisfied with it.After shopping dozens of different keyless deadbolts, ranging in price from just over $50 to well over $350, I settled on this one, in the bottom of the price range. Why?1. I don't trust the security of my personal information in the cloud - there have been far too many data breaches of supposedly "Secure" companies that expose untold quantities of data to hackers. This means I really don't want a lock that interfaces with the cloud. (Internet.)2. The more expensive locks offer thousands of different entry codes. I only need about three or four. This one offers ten. Plenty for me.3. The more expensive locks offer the ability to interface with your phone, and lock or unlock your door remotely. I cannot think of a single instance when I would need or use this feature, and so I'm not willing to pay more to have it.4. This lock offers one-time-use codes, as well as optional auto-lock after a period of time I can set. I don't currently need either of those, but I might, and I am not paying extra to get them.5. This lock offers the ability to program entry codes up to 10 digits. Four digits is too insecure for me, so I'm glad I can use more.6. There is a one-button push to lock feature. I didn't realize how much of a plus this was until last month when I went to an AirBnB that had a pushbutton lock that you had to enter the code to LOCK it as well as unlock it. That was a pain.DRAWBACKS:There are only five code buttons. This means the code for 2-4-6-8-0 uses the same buttons as 1-3-5-7-9. This reduces the security of the lock somewhat, but I knew this before I bought it, and with the very low risk where I live I deemed it NOT to be a problem. Especially if I program longer-than-4-digit codes. There IS a light that comes on, lighting the buttons from the inside, when you push the first button - very good for night time entry especially for someone who is unfamiliar with the lock. However, it's only moderate brightness and the buttons are not large, so this might not be enough for some older people or those with vision challenges. However, the buttons are arranged in a distinctive pattern, and it is easy to find your first button by feel, and actually to enter your entire code by feel.Moderately obscure programming. There is small chance I will remember the code programming how-to the next time I need to do it. But the VERY SMALL PRINT instructions are easily followed. Just don't lose your instruction micro-manual. And keep a magnifying glass handy to read it.No word on battery life yet. After two months, the initial set of batteries is still going strong.Overall, this lock rates five stars. If I ever need another one, I'll probably buy this brand again.========= UPDATE - 19 Months Later ==============This lock still gets FIVE STARS in my book. After about 19 months of flawless operation, I finally had to replace the first set of batteries.Needless to say, I had LOST my micro-print manual, but it was easy to find the PDF version of the manual online.Because I had replaced the batteries, I had to re-program the whole thing. Since I had only changed the master code and entered 3 user codes, this was not that big a deal, but I can see if you had a dozen or more user codes, reprogramming could be a pain in the patoot. In the reprogramming, I ran into a problem - one that wasn't covered in the manual. So I called the toll-free number (in the manual), and with a minimal journey through voice menu purgatory, I actually got a LIVE PERSON who was friendly and knowledgeable, and had my problem fixed quickly. (It turns out I needed to take out the batteries, push all the buttons, re-install the batteries, and start over, then all was well.)This was OUTSTANDING customer service, and reinforces my very strong 5-star rating for this device.

Convenient Entry Solution
The Kwikset Powerbolt 907 Keyless Entry Deadbolt Electronic Door Lock has been a convenient addition to our home. It allows our children to enter without worrying about keys, especially after school when they ride the bus. While it works well most days, we've noticed that on really cold winter days, it may take a couple of tries to unlock. Overall, it's a reliable and convenient entry solution for our family.

Auto Lock is the Highlight of this Product
I purchased this during the Prime Day sale, because just the day before I was sending messages to my kids to PLEASE lock the door when they leave the house. There was always a 50/50 chance when I got home from work that the door was locked. The keypad feature on this was just an extra feature that made it even more of a great buy. I have keyless entry to my car but I was always taking my keys out to lock the door. Now I can keep my keys in my purse and come in and out of my home. You can set your own code to this look from 4-10 digits long. You can even have different codes for different people so that you can disable one as needed. In addition, if you need someone to enter your home one time you can give them a one-time use code. What I love most about it is the self-locking feature. With this feature, you can turn it on or off and you have the ability to decide how long you want to give the door to lock if it is not manually locked 10, 20, 30....seconds. Now when the kids leave, they can easily just hit the lock button or allow the door to lock on its own.The only reason I gave it 4 stars instead of 5 is I wish when it locked automatically it was a little quieter. I don't know if other locks sound different but when you manually lock the door you don't hear much but I guess the mechanism needed to control the lock makes some noise, or maybe it just seems loud at 5 am in the morning when everyone else is asleep. The keypad becomes lit when the buttons are pressed. Another thing that would have been nice is for the keypad to light up when you get close to it so you can see the buttons before pushing the first one, however, if you know the code and where the buttons there isn't much of a problem. You also have the option to turn off the beep sound when pushing the buttons and locking and unlocking the door via the keypad. We choose to leave it on as the beep lets you know the number was pressed and the lock recognized it.Overall for a keypad/smart lock that DOES NOT connect to WiFi, the price is great and it works well. I personally decided the price for the same type of lock that included WiFi just wasn't worth the added expense.Update 07/14/24: We have been using this lock for almost 4 years and have never had to change the batteries. We have had to change the code once. I did have issues with it so it was frustrating but it finally took. The only other thing is that the numbers wear off over time, and it just doesn't look as fresh and new, but it is outside so I feel like that is something you have to expect to happen. Also, there are times when the auto-lock starts locking immediately instead of waiting 20 seconds. If I had to purchase a new one I would have no problems purchasing this brand of lock but I think I would purchase one with all 10 digits. Now that I've had an auto-lock for almost 4 years I would never have a house without one. We love the keyless entry.

Read this, lots of information, great product.
Works exactly as described, easy to install (had to make room for the metal piece [installed on the door frame] that circumvents the hole in the door frame that the deadbolt inserts into when locked). Bought a ‘renewed’ lock to save money and the keys provided don’t work but I’m sure i can get a locksmith to simulate opening it with the key so I can Re-key it. (It is a Kwikset so it has the smart-key feature where you insert the working key and open it [where i’m going to get a locksmith to trick the lock for this part], then insert the provided smart key that comes with it, then take the provided key out and the smart-key out, insert the key you already use for other locks on your house, then rotate your key 180 degrees counter-clockwise, and you re-keyed your new door lock.) This product is very easy to lock and unlock using the keypad (i cant speak for the key). If there are issues with the deadbolt inserting smoothly, the deadbolt hole is the issue and the metal piece just needs to be moved left or right slightly. If issues closing the door: the metal piece installed on the door frame is too far out and the area where it sits needs to be notched out. The picture makes the satin nickel color look a little wrong from other satin nickel objects but it is the same color as other door knobs and such.

Inexpensive and does the job
Let's be honest...I live in the country in rural New Brunswick. I am not overly concerned about security. However I hate looking for my keys in the ark in the boonies. This latch is super great, easy to use. It lights up when you press the buttons! Yes, there is a small delay while it unlocks itself but it's all of 3 seconds....not like you are going to smash into your house with a bag of groceries. It's an awesome little lock for the price. It's a deadbolt plain and simple! You won't be disappointed

You need batteries, otherwise it's like any other key operated lock
Surprisingly, if you enter the right code the lock works as expected and happily if the code is in correct, it does not.I chose it because of its colour which matched a door knob I purchased from the same establishment.I figured if the item was hard to mount on the door, the manufacturer would have gone out of business long before I came across their goods
