BLACKHAWK Tactical Platform Mag Pouch

I have these on either side of my BlackHawk drop leg mounts and they fit perfectly and hold extra clips in a good place. You have to leave the snap cover on. There's not enough tension to leave that off but that's a small thing and provides more security so you don't lose a mag.

I was skeptical about this product due to not enough info on if it'll work with .45 ammo mag, but after measuring the mag I am using then comparing with .40 mag which this product will work with gave me confident that this product will definitely work but not able to find one in town to actually take a look at to make sure I just ordered it from Amazon since return policy with Amazon is great. When I received it I had to do few mods to make it work, easy mods. The first mod was cutting the plastic piece that wedge the mag inside to keep the mag tight fit then the flap has another adjustment for taller mag which is what I have so it fits like a glove. For those that have doubts if this product will work with .45 double stack mags worry no more, just get it and you'll be one happy person. I am glad I bought them (2), they both fit perfect on my drop leg platform by BH.

After recieving this product at first I was a little hesisitant about it having the retention flap over the top of the magazine. After using this in 3 gun competition I really like it. They hold the magazines in place with out any issues. I will admit it would be a little faster if it was an open top design like the rest of Blackhawks magazine holsters, but with some practice you can be just as fast. Blackhawk as usual has created another piece of gear that works and functions flawlessly, and is sturdy enough to handle competition use. This is the reason all of my gear that I use is made by Blackhawk.

I got two of these to put on my Blackhawk thigh rig. They attached without any problems at all and came with the hardware needed to mount them. What I wish was also available for these was a belt-clip and a quick-detach system. It would be nice to be able to quickly take them off my thigh rig and put them on my belt. Right now I have to take my spare magazines out and use a different mag holder. Not a deal breaker, but I like to have things more versatile so I am always using the same gear, same motions all the time just mounted differently, based on where I need them mounted. If they had These hold factory Sig P229 magazines as well as Pro-Mag P229 magazines (slightly wider then factory mags). The also fit my M&P magazines just as well so I can just change the mags out and go. These will probably hold most .40/9mm double stack mags, but they probably wouldn't hold 10mm mags as they tend to be a bit bigger then .40 mags because of the extra length of the 10mm round. The top flap is nice to have to make sure that what you put into them is secure. The snaps used are really high quality and will stay snapped until you defeat them to remove your magazine. There are actually two different heights your can set the top flap at depending on the size of magazine you are using. The one problem is that if you do not want the top cover flap, you lose the retaining "sping" that provides friction against the magazine. The top flap is a rubber material, and there is a small flap on the back that goes into the magazine holder and proved friction against the magazine. If you were to decide not to put the flaps on you would lose the friction as well, unless you wanted to cut the top off the flap so you still have the rubber friction flap on the back of the mag holder. I wanted the top flap, so its really a non-issue to me, but I do know people that don't like things covering their magazines. They are a great product, made by Blackhawk so you can expect quality. If you are looking for magazine carriers for your Blackhawk thigh rig, these are awesome.

Fits standard mags for my H&K USP Compact 45. Nice and tight, mounts to the leg platform perfectly. You can remove the snap strap if you want more speed of reloading, I like the strap when on long hunting trips. This clearly states that it mounts to the leg rig. There are no design flaws and it does not need a belt loop, this would take away from the intended use. If you need something that hangs on your belt look for that, don't try and make a pig into a cow and complain about it after you purchase the pig.

Like every other Blackhawk product I own, the construction and quality is great. Unfortunately I'm having to return them as they do not fit mags for a .45 Springfield XDM. The flaps aren't long enough to cover the mag and snap closed. I called Blackhawk and was informed that they do not make extended flaps for these pouches.

Mags are secure, but in the field this pouch isn't practical some due to speed. I prefer open top mag pouches for seconds faster reloading my self and I was hoping it had retention while open like Blackhawk's open top designs, but it doesn't. that said quality is high, as with many Blackhawk items. the pouch can be attached to blackhawk's dropleg platform(as far as I know its the only pouch that can) so that's a plus too

I wish I could have purchased these in black. They fit my Blackhawk Serpa drop-leg system but they were sold out of black. I would recommend these mag pouches to anyone who has a need for adding to their system. My double stack 9mm fits tight and well so I cut the flaps off each one then mounted them. With slight modifications they fulfill my needs. With the flaps still on attached they interfere with my full-size Glock 17 when removing in a hurry, After I cut the snap flaps off and trimmed the corners they work perfect and very tight fit; but at the same time easy to pull out a mag in a hurry. I am looking to buy 2 more in black.

Habe das Magazin für den Airsoft Bereich gekauft. Nutze eine Glock 17. Das Magazin passte leider nicht in die Tasche/ bzw lies sich nicht schliessen. Wurde zurück geschickt und anstandslos das Geld zurück überwiesen. Verarbeitung war sehr gut, hätte es gern behalten. Nur eben die Passform war ausschlag gebend für die Rücksendung, daher aber trotzdem 5 Sterne
