$AVE THOUSAND$!!! Buy this wedge pillow Instead of an adjustable bed!
This wedge pillow is just right! It has a very firm structure for excellent support, while the memory foam layer provides great comfort. To have good support all the way up to your neck and the back of your head, you need a good-sized wedge like this one. Before you select a wedge pillow, be sure to pay attention to the measurements. I'm just under 5’ 10” and this one works great for me. Changing the angle of the pillow gives you the two most-used positions on an expensive adjustable bed. In the “sitting up” position, I use a standard pillow for lumbar support - the same thing I did on an adjustable bed, but thousands of dollars cheaper! Two of these wedge pillows will allow you and your partner to choose for yourselves whether you want to sit up or recline. If you were sharing a full, queen, or king-sized adjustable bed, you and your partner would have to agree on the angle you want to use (like that's ever going to happen.) Want to hear a really scary bedtime story? The sleep store salesman’s solution to the angle disagreement problem is for you to buy TWO twin long adjustable beds - which, of course, cost even more than one King size adjustable bed! And what will you get? You will get a big fat crack between your twin extra-long adjustable beds that is very uncomfortable to sleep on. If you have hard floors, you may even get a crack that will widen to a chasm that you can fall down as the two adjustable beds slide apart. Plus, you will also have to spend way more money on your linens because two sets of extra-long twin sheets cost waaay more than one set of King sheets. Then comes a time when you have owned your twin extra-long adjustable beds for less than a year, and one of your remotes (the thing you have to use to make the adjustable bed go up and down) suddenly stops working, and you find out that there is no way to flatten out the bed without the remote. So you learn to enjoy sleeping in a sitting position until the adjustable bed company ships you a replacement for over $40. And the friendly customer service person at the adjustable bed company tells you, “Yes, this is all part of routine maintenance - owning an adjustable bed is like owning a car.” NOW you tell me! Listen to the voice of experience - Skip the adjustable bed and buy yourself a pair of these wedge pillows. You will save enough money to treat yourself to a beautiful hardwood bed frame. Epilogue - we did at least avoid paying thousands for a pair of bottom of the line twin extra-long mattresses at the local sleep store. Instead, we ordered a pair of twin extra-long mattresses from tuft & needle on Amazon. We have been sleeping on them every single night for two and a half years and they are the best mattresses we have ever owned! We just wish that we had bought a king. In order to live with what we have, we have now purchased king size sheets. The king contour sheet holds the twin mattresses together, preventing continental drift. In order to head off another breakdown, where we find ourselves sleeping sitting up, we make very minimal use of the adjustable height - hence our purchase of this wonderful and wonderfully-affordable wedge pillow. One of these days we will send these ridiculous adjustable beds to the junkyard, buy ourselves a nice hardwood bed frame, plus a tuft & needle king size mattress, and live happily ever after. Except, to tell the truth, we have so very much to be thankful for that we're happy already. Sleep tight and God bless!

Excellent quality.
Some reviews here are negative because the wedge was too high. That's not the fault of the wedge... there are 7 and 10 inch sizes available. Don't leave a negative review because you chose the wrong product. That's your fault, not the product's fault. In addition to this 12 inch wedge from Amazon, I have a 7 inch wedge from a local medical supply store. The cover on this wedge from Amazon is much better quality than the one from the local medical supply store. The one from the local store has a cover made from a cheap cotton material like a cheap bed sheet. The one from Amazon is covered by a nice material that seems like it will last much longer. Also, the memory foam layer on the wedge from Amazon is very comfortable... much better than the 7 inch wedge from the local medical supply, which has no layer of memory foam. I use the 12 inch wedge behind my back, and I put the 7 inch wedge under my knees when I sleep. Using them this way, it's just as comfortable as sleeping on the recliner in the living room. I have had shoulder pain for many years, and could never sleep flat on my back... even before I had shoulder pain. I just couldn't fall asleep flat on my back. When I slept on my sides, I would toss and turn all night long due to the pain from my shoulders. I could sleep on one shoulder for an hour or two, and then I would wake up in pain and need to turn over. Then, I had surgery on my right shoulder because it froze up and became too painful to bear. After the surgery, I could not sleep on my right side at all. I tried the 12 inch wedge from Amazon first, because it was similar to the elevation of my recliner. It was too high and would make my butt hurt (too much weight on my buttocks to lie in the same position all night). I already had the surgery, so I needed something quick... So, I tried the 7 inch wedge from the local medical supply. It was too low. It was also not nearly as comfortable as the one from Amazon, because the one from Amazon has the 1-inch layer of memory foam, and the one from the local medical supply store does not. Instead of trying the 10 inch wedge (I'm frugal), I decided to try using the 12 inch wedge behind my back, and the 7 inch wedge to elevate my knees. Wow! Now, I sleep the whole night without tossing and turning. I wake up refreshed. This is the best sleep I've had in more than 20 years! I've tried all kinds of mattresses. The mattress I have now is the most comfortable bed I've ever owned... but these foam wedges make all the difference in the world. It's been almost a month since my shoulder surgery, and I still can't lay on my right side for more than about 30 minutes. The doctor says it will be several more months before all the pain is gone... but I think I'll keep using these foam wedges, because I sleep better now than I have since I was a kid!

Quality wedge pillow
I appreciate the width and the weight of the wedge pillow. It is comfortable and doesn't slide around. I rated four stars instead of five because I was hoping the pillow would offer a bit more neck support. I am happy with the purchase overall.

Perfect Solution
This pillow works perfectly for my situation. I always slept on my left side (best for chronic heartburn). But my hip and neck sometimes hurt and I finally decided to try a wedge pillow. This one is perfect. It puts me at enough of an angle to handle the heartburn and I no longer wake up with a stiff neck or sore hip. I am short and lay with my waist at the base of the pillow. So my head is not at 12" high. But the incline seems to be just right. The included headrest pillow is exactly the right thickness. I tried other pillows but the headrest that comes with this wedge is best. I also bought the pillowcase (in navy) and it works great. I wish it would have included a case for the headrest pillow as well. But I can sew, so I made one. Per other reviews: * I had no problems with it re-inflating. I followed the instructions exactly, left it for as long as they said, and it filled out perfectly. * I do not have much issue with sliding down. Occasionally I will wake up lower on the pillow. But that is not often. And I am never too far down, so I still get great sleep. This was true before I bought the pillowcase (using the bamboo case that comes with the original pillow) and after. * The pillowcase fit just right. (Wish it came in more colors. But I can sew, so I suppose I will eventually make just what I want.) I would recommend this pillow.
