I have a large beard so I like the length of this comb. About as big as I could get and still fit in my shirt pocket. The spacing of the teeth is good and wide. The craftsmanship of the joinery of the Ox horn to the wood handle is perfect and the whole unit is just beautiful. It is durable enough to carry in your back pocket without worrying about breaking it. Of course it doesn't cause static on your beard like a plastic comb does.

It is very smooth and polished and the teeth are alot thicker than those on traditional combs.This comb goes through tangles with little to no effort at all. With such thick teeth you won't ever have to worry about them falling out like they seem to do on plastic combs. Using this comb has helped my hair to have no static and my frizz is practically nonexistent. I absolutely love this comb. I purchased two and two more will delivered in a few days. I have waist length straight hair and this comb is perfect. Combs right through after washing my hair and I only use Dr Bronner’s soap and castor oil afterwards on my hair. I recommend this comb for straight hair, too. Plus it’s sturdy and beautiful.

Arrived in a nice box and including care instructions. The wood is smooth and the comb isn’t heavy, but has enough weight in my hand that it doesn’t feel insubstantial or cheap. As others have mentioned, it does have a distinct scent - sort of a sweet/smoky incense smell - but I find it pleasant. I can be sensitive to some odors, and this does not bother me; however, I will say that I could see it potentially not working for someone who’s more sensitive than I am. I also wish the teeth were a teensy bit longer since I have coarse, wavy, fairly thick hair. But I just washed my hair and used it for detangling afterward and was very pleased with how easily it glides through. It’s very pleasant to use, seemed to add a bit of shine, and definitely added quite a bit of volume when used with my hair flipped upside down! Overall, I am very pleased with this purchase.

I love this comb! I have knee-length wavy hair of medium thickness, and most of the time, this comb is perfect for both detangling and styling (but not sectioning). It glides through my hair nicely and never snags. The teeth are nicely shaped (not those flat or squared-off shapes that don’t penetrate hair well). Users with thick hair may find that the comb is not deep enough to get through all of their hair at once, but combing in sections helps.This comb arrived in a sturdy cardboard storage box with lining and elastics to keep the comb in place. I regularly store the comb in a drawer with no damage, but for traveling, the box is perfect. (It also fits flat and fragile hair toys!)I’m not sure if I can call this a wide-toothed comb, as the teeth are closer together than most combs I’ve seen in that category. However, the teeth are the widest I’ve seen on any horn comb. When my snarls are too big for this comb to handle, I do an initial detangling with a wider resin comb, then finish with this one. Works perfectly.I’ve seen various reviews of various horn combs that describe the combs as having some sort of smell. This comb smells like...absolutely nothing, even after using it on wet hair. It doesn’t smell like sandalwood either, which makes me a little sad, but certainly not a deal-breaker. This is a well-made comb.

I have medium-length fine hair that tends to be dry, and I wanted to find an alternative to my cheap plastic drugstore comb because it was causing a lot of breakage (and was grimy after several years, ew). This is a beautiful and well-packaged comb. Because it's all comb (no handle), it covers a substantially larger amount of hair, which I like. The relatively wide teeth are great for detangling post shower, but they're not so wide that it can't serve as an everyday comb as well. It does feel nice on the scalp, as they say of wood combs. I personally like the sandalwood smell, though I could see how someone else might not. I haven't yet dropped it or otherwise tested its durability, but it seems pretty sturdy.
