I have had oily acne prone skin since a teen. In my 20s I had a fairly decent handle on my acne - meaning I still got acne but not nearly as bad. I was kinda okay with this because my teen acne was horrible. Now that I’m approaching 40, I get acne generally once a month during my menstrual cycle. Once again - not a big deal. For the first time, I’ve gone months with absolutely no flair ups at all. I’m using my same over the counter cleansers so it’s gotta be this device - that’s my only variable. By using this only once a day in the evening after removing my makeup, my skin is smoother than its ever been and I don’t think my skin gets as oily as it used to...or maybe that’s my imagination...the jury is still out. It seems products like my makeup primer and moisturizers work better with my skin now. For example, I usually suffer from dry patches around my nose and mouth despite my oily skin, buy my dryness went away. Maybe that’s attributed to the moisturizers working better? Listen... I’m not a dermatologist. LOL. I can only speak from experience and make logical conclusions. LOL.I will say that in the beginning, I used the lower setting and the brushes felt pretty harsh on my skin, so I decided to only use in the evenings and that works for me. In all, I have no real complaints...yet. I leave it by my shower and charge it maybe once a week and the charge seems to last.I know everyone’s skin is different, but I think it’s worth giving it a chance.

I was super excited to try this because of all the positive reviews, but my unit will not charge. I’m requesting for a new one to be sent. I’m hoping this new one will work for me. I will update my review when I get the new shipment. After looking through the “questions” instead of the reviews, it seems like a lot of units that have been bought this past month are having the same issue, so honestly, I’m not too hopeful this next one will work either. I wonder if they are selling a bad batch of units. If this next one doesn’t work either, I’m going to contact Michael Todd themselves.

I received this item on June 29th I let it charge like directions said and used it the next day it worked pretty well. Altogether I would say I used it about 5 times at the most. Fast forward to July 5th I used it in the morning on my face it seemed to work okay. I go to use it on my chest. It made it’s normal noise for like a second and then shut off. I’m thinking ok maybe it needs to be charged. I charge it and noticed it was making a weird beeping noise when it’s charging. I looked it up and that’s not a normal sound for this item. I was like ok just give it time to charge. I let it charge all night and go to use it this morning. Nothing!! It doesn’t even come on. The two red lights just blink for a few seconds and it makes a noise like it’s dead. Even though it charged all night. This thing is a piece of junk. I didn’t really get to test all the settings to get a true feel for it. Lasted less than a week. Good thing it’s under $70.I’ve had a Clarisonic that I purchased around 2006-2007 it still works!!!! However, in order for it to work properly it has to stay plugged in at all times. I feel like this may be an indication that it’s on it’s last leg. I will use until it dies. I love it. I wanted to have something for backup when my Clarisonic does eventually take her last breath. Which is why I ordered the Soniclear. So much for purchasing this piece of junk. My Clarisonic has been a blessing. I’ll probably break down and purchase another Clarisonic. Since the one I have now has lasted me for years. I don’t know how this Micheal Todd product has so many good reviews. Which is why I purchased it and saw good reviews on other websites. Ugh!!! Terrible product. I returned this product it’s definitely defected.

Like style and easy to use for my face.

I purchased this in November 2019 for $49.99 through Michael Todd Beauty via Amazon. It’s mind blowing to see that the price has doubled in less than one year. I’m assuming that’s because they're the major alternative to Clarisonic (RIP) and basically the only big name guy in the market.My purchase came with everything you see in this picture: the actual sonic clear petite in English Rose, a carrying case, and a usb rechargeable cord.Price shock aside...I’ve been quite pleased with my purchase. As you can see from the photo, my tool is still in very decent shape. In photo 2, you’ll notice that there’s no chipping or fading. That was one of my biggest worries.What I’ve never been concerned about is its effectiveness or it’s staying power/battery life. I have a Clarisonic Mia 2 and side by side, I can’t feel or see any difference in effectiveness or performance.The brush heads are similar to Clarisonic however those brush heads aren’t interchangeable between the two devices.Am I pleased with my purchase? At the time of purchase, this was 50% cheaper than Clarisonic and over the last 11 months, I’ve used it 4-5 times a week with no issues.Note: My review rating overall of a 4 is not bad. Even my Mia 2 isn’t a 5 star.

My original review stated that the brush had died and would not take a charge. I asked for a replacement and the company responded swiftly and courteously and my new brush is working great. Thank you Michael Todd Beauty for taking care of your customers!

This product was not as soft or cleansing as my old Clarisonic, but it is better than what else is out there. Was disappointed that it stopped working in 6 months however after careful use

Very bad. Charged it for a day like it says but never turn on. Shipping it back cost more than the product. Amazon is amazingly refunded my money. Thank you Amazon.
