Metra Electronics 99-9227 Single/Double DIN Installation Kit for Select 2005-09 Volvo S60 and V70 (Black)

Dash kit fit my 2007 Volvo S60 2.5T/Atoto A6 Premium beautifully. The pieces definitely feel a little flimsier and cheaper built than the Scosche kit, BUT the Scosche kit wasn't even close to allowing the ATOTO to fit... so this product is obviously far better. Slightly lower build quality that works beats slight better build quality that doesn't work every day of the week.

Served it's purpose- though not an exact fit- had to file down the top radius- be prepared for a little TLC and have some patience for a proper install- In the end looks legit!

Did what I needed

As other reviewers have noted, the width of the opening is too small for a standard DIN radio: several mm short of 180 mm wide opening. You will have to cut/sand to widen the opening. But if you are buying this in 2026, this probably isn't the end of the world to you. I installed this in a 2007 Volvo V70: in order for this part to fit in my car, there were several injection mold tab gates that had to be removed. Just go slow when inserting the adapter into the radio/HVAC assembly- you'll see locations where it wants to interfere. 1/4 of the tabs designed to clip to the radio/hvac assembly arrived broken. All 4 don't line up correctly with the 2007 V70 assembly. The screw holes do line up correctly and this provides the majority of the affixation so this isn't a dealbreaker. All criticism aside- this part can work and when fully assembled the radio is well secured. Just be judicious in your cutting/trimming and it can be completely hidden.

Fits beautifully and blends in seamlessly in my 08 S60. Good craftsmanship and very sturdy. Easy to install. 5/7 would recommend.

I used the kit to install a Double Dim Android radio. Have a beautiful finish.

I bought this for my 2007 Volvo XC70 for the radio ( a single din ) to fit and have the plugs come through the stock holes in the backing ABS volvo plastic the pocket needs to be mounted at the TOP , however , its not designed to be mounted at the top so the radio has to go to the top , which means you cannot plug in the wiring harness and antenna , unless you cut the factory ABS volvo radio surround. and you really have to notch it pretty good ( about a 1 1/2" by 2 1/2" notch in both upper corners to make it fit and work properly.
