Fantastic!!!
The media could not be loaded. This really is a great set!! It comes in its own tub with a clip on lid to keep all the pieces up together. It includes a booklet and the pieces were in several small bags within the tub when it arrives. We emptied them onto the carpet and counted each model piece according to what’s on the back of the instruction booklet to make sure the correct number of pieces were there and we weren’t missing any. All pieces were there. It does say you can download the app both on google play and the iOS App Store. Which I did on my iPhone, but I couldn’t find the corresponding kit on the app, so I found it much easier to use the laptop to go to the Engino website and look for the kit on there. My 7yo then chose what he wanted to make. You click on the item and it gives you step by step instructions starting from the very first piece. You can click back to the previous step, repeat the instruction, zoom in and out, and rotate the pieces on the screen to make it much easier. I could have done it on my tablet but I found using a mouse much better ie. the scroll button for zooming in and out etc. There were a few tricky pieces ie. you couldn’t just put them together, you had to jiggle them about or remove previous pieces to slot new ones in, but to be fair it wasn’t difficult and I’m a 45yo woman. My 7yo really like doing this. It’s a great way of spending time together, or to be honest when he gets older to do it himself. You can choose from 30 different models in this kit, so for me this really is a fantastic kit for the money! The pieces are easy to pop/slide and click together and easy to come apart by either pulling/sliding or using the remover tool that comes with the kit. They are sturdy pieces too and not ones that would break easily either. I love that they do these kits for girls too. Just a shame they didn’t have these when I was younger as I would have loved one!!

Great brain and patience toy.
The media could not be loaded. My daughter of 6 and I really enjoyed doing this together. The instructions are fairly easy to follow but it is tricky and requires a lot of patience. There were pieces she couldn't do on her own so I'd say 8 + was the correct age for this construction set. The builds are big and look fab once completed. The set comes with a little too to help take the pieces apart. I would highly recommend it if you have a child who enjoys engineering.

A great alternative entertainment
This is a great, creative and educational construction kit. It comes in a plastic clip lid box. Included is a booklet with instructions for two models and fascinating facts. You need to download an app to get instructions for all models. Dare I say it...it didn’t cause the same excited reaction that the more expensive, colourful and well known brand creates in the household. But still, this kept a 10 year old busy for 1.5 hours and that’s just building the car. He said the car ran very smoothly along the floor once he had completed it.There are 29 more models to build plus there are all the made up models you can create yourself. It can be hard to put some of the pieces on and fiddly to remove so I think the age rating is correct. I think younger children would need a lot of help. I’m not sure how many more models will be made as a hugely popular engineering computer game always takes priority. But for the price this is a good, well made construction toy that could keep children occupied for hours at a time.

Superb quality and versatility
I got this for my nephew in an attempt to get him i(and myself!) in to something other than Lego, and for my first ever Engino set I have to say I was pretty impressed. The instructions for the set are very clear and easy to follow, and also state that you can build 30 different variations of the model. All of the variations all offer a great deal of fun and challenge and this really does offer good value for money. In regards to the build quality, I was also very impressed. Each piece has been well made (sculpted?) and are very sturdy and durable. I can see why this set is age 8+ as some of the pieces are quite technical and rather fiddly, but not too challenging in that it is impossible. It certainly tests children's resilience, problem solving skills and spatial awareness and as such this set really does compliment Lego really well.Overall, for a newcomer such as myself this set really did impress me - good quality, straight forward to assemble and very versatile. A superb set and highly recommended.

Great STEM learning kit
This is a nice set with 30 models to build. You get instructions for 2 of the builds in the booklet, the instructions are easy to follow and there are 28 other builds on the app you can download. The app is available for Android and iOS. The app is great as you can see the builds in 3D. The pieces are nice and solid and lock together well, there’s also an extraction tool that makes it easier to take the pieces apart. All the pieces are made of plastic and are much more solid feeling than other branded builds we’ve done before. The models are pretty good and will keep little ones entertained for hours. There’s even some nice information about missions in space and a little quiz for them to complete after reading it.I recommend this set to any young ones out there that enjoy building. My 9 year old has had a great time doing these builds.

Brilliant kit and so much more
Loving these kits that are so much more than just robotic building instructions.I am blown away with these they are a mix of creativity and science. With this kit you can build 30 different models as besides the booklet there is an app that can be downloaded. The box this kit comes it is filled completely with building bricks and a booklet, there is literally no room left for anything else. The booklet includes facts about space, a time line of exploration and even a quiz! Besides two walk throughs for two of the models that can be made. This is a real good value to buy. Love it!!

Why should I need the internet for my child to build sets?
I love the concept of this set. My son was thrilled that there are 30 different models to build. But please!!! At the very least, make it so that we can print off the instructions! I don't want my son on electronics in order to be creative...it is the main point of having "creative building sets"--no screen. You can't even download the instructions onto a tablet or computer--you have to be *on the Engino site* to use the instructions (at least from what I can tell). So while I'd give the set itself 5 stars, I'm only leaving a 2-star review because I think that not having printed/printable instructions is a huge fail.

Makes an awesome Christmas present but the lack of printed instructions is frustrating.
I have to say right off the bat that the lack of printed instructions makes this a little frustrating. The set has so many cool things that can be done, but without the printed instructions, you have to have a website and it's harder for gift giving or for the kids to do on their own since it then requires the internet and supervision on the computer. This is already harder than some popular brand name blocks, and it's just made even harder without printed instructions. I don't mind playing with the babies and getting hands on with the toys, but it's often more fun for them to see the pieces on paper and try to recreate it themselves. That being said, my nephews love this set! It's one of the more complex sets we've built together, but it is a ton of fun. There are some basic instructions included and we did those first because I went through screenshotting and printing others. I hadn't heard of this brand before, but it has some awesome designs and things that can be done with their sets. The set is compact, which I like, but the transformations it can make are worth working it out. There are 30 designs, although some of them aren't all that different. Several are quite a transformation though. The tool included to break it back down is helpful. These would likely hold together with block glue if you have a collector on your hands, though.Really, my biggest complaint is the need for internet and their special app to download and work with this set. I don't like adding apps to devices and integrating more screen time, and I like even less allowing permissions. It's a nice set and would make a great gift if it didn't require an app and downloads to get all the instructions. It works fine as is, of course, but it's less fun knowing there are other design templates that require screen time.It is still worth getting. If you want to put time in, you can print your own instructions. I'd still get this again and do think I'll add more sets, I'm just frustrated at the lack of forethought about the printed instructions.
