Works great
Made a king size American Beech bed from trees in our woods behind our house. Left the wood to season for 2 weeks and after skinning the bark off with the draw knife. It turned from white to a dark red color just like cedar. Bark came off very easily with this knife. Well worth the money and made a big job small...Thanks!

well made and works great. wish the curve of the blade had a larger radius. won't do the larger tree trunks. still great for the smaller ones. wish the radius was specified in the listing. it's a tighter curve than is shown in the photo.

Looks Rugged, we'll see.
This draw knife is well built but will have to see how it holds up over time. It is pretty dull but I'm sure because of liability they aren't going to ship one with a razor edge. If you are crafty enough to use a draw knife I'm guessing you can sharpen one. I bought the wider curved knife because I wasn't sure if it was going to be a knuckle buster or not. Can't wait to give this one some exercise and see how the blade holds up. So far, so good.

Worth every penny
I had 4 pieces of Poplar each measuring 10 feet long. I am using these as posts for a porch. I have never stripped bark before but got the hang of this tool in a few minutes. I was able to do one tree per night and that was due to my back only being able to take so much. The tool stayed sharp and worked great. I did shallow cuts and just went over it until I got to my desired depth. I did use it "backwards" I guess, as the logs were wider then the curve of the blade. In retrospect I think this would be an easier way to use it no matter the diameter of the tree.

Husking
It does the job for husking the sides off of the coconut tree. No complaints yet.

for small logs
The curved seems like a good idea, but I would buy this again, I bought the straight one which works much better

Works even better than a straight draw blade I have both a $100 straight draw blade and this one (which works much better and doesn't muck up the grain or the surface of the wood)

Came a lot faster than we expected, was extremely sharp and works perfect for what we needed.

I've got a few trees to fell, so not wanting to waste the timber, I bought this draw-knife for stripping bark and small shoots off the tree trunks. It works really well and makes you feel like a proper outdoorsy lumberjack. Honestly, I'm going to buy a checked shirt and grow a beard full of twigs. I'll change my name to Jethro and drink moonshine. Hot-diggity!
