Cable Matters 100-Pack Cat 6A Shielded Pass Through RJ45 Connectors

Bought these to go with True Cables clear cut to fit strain relief boots. So far I haven't had any bad terminations with 23awg cable. The boots thankfully fit inside with ease as the cable itself is a cat6a shielded riser cable that measures a smidge over 7mm thick. The outer cable sleeve will not fit inside but that is alright since the strain relief boots locks inside the plugs and I would rather have the shielded foil of the cable to fit snug inside.

I used this on 23awg wire. The wire fits good. Make sure to leave wire long to make it easier to slide in. Cut the wire with flush cutters. This made it much easier for me. Now the biggest complaint of others...which is valid. Getting the jacket to fit inside the connector. The only way I was able to get the jacket to fit inside the connector was to use the flat part of pliers(linesman pliers worked for me) and squeeze for at least 10 seconds before sliding it in. Make sure to not pinch down on the drain wire in the process. Before buying.... Spec your cable and wire first!!! Make sure you verify correct gauge of wire. This can cause a lot of frustration.

I bought a reel of Cable Masters Cat6a cable to wire a home network with multiple purposes. I needed to terminate the cable and pulled a box of Cat6a RJ45 connectors from my tool bag and tried to terminate the cables. The wires were pic coated 23 AWG, too thick to pass thru these generic connectors. I wanted to match my shielded cable to the correct RJ45 connectors and searched for Cable Matters connectors. Their specs said they were a match for the cable. I ordered them for next day delivery and they worked perfectly. Every termination and patch cable I made tested perfect with my Link Master cable tester. I now have the best Internet delivery to the 2 TV/ Entertainment areas, my office and my wife's shop/ design room. We're making the most of our 2GB fiber service with Cable Matters Cat6a cable and connectors.

These are a little difficult to crimp with a Klein Tools Pass thru crimper. Sometimes a few wires would not cut off. Unlike 2 other reviewers mentioned I had no issue pushing the wires for a Cat6A shielded cable through the connector, like I've had with regular Cat6 connectors and a Cat6A cable. That's why I bought these. But I had two cables fail, one was a Cat5e cable and another a Cat6A shielded cable. And both times it was pins 1 and 2, which was mentioned by other reviewers, also a very small portion of the wire was stubbed out of the connector. Avoid these, you get what you pay for.

Using these with 23AWG outdoor CAT6 wire was a constant struggle. The specs said it would work, but each end was a fight. I have never had to fight this much to get a passthrough connector to accept wire. They are absurdly tight. Once they are strung up, they work well however so I'm only knocking a star off. Plan on taking 3-4X longer to use these however

They work and seem high quality, but boy are they a pain to install. The pass-through holes are staggered and they make it a real challenge to install. As other reviewers have stated, i had to resort to extra long wires and threading them one at a time. Using 6a cable, i also ran into the issue that the sheath won't fit into the connector. In the end, I only needed to do a few so it wasn't terrible, but if I was doing a lot of terminations, I would get something with a loading bar that made this far easier.

I bought this name brand after hearing some of the cheapest ones had tolerance issues fitting into ports. These have made CAT 6 UTP wiring very easy, paired with a through-plug style ethernet crimper that cuts off the excess. I'm doing 23awg solid copper with no issues! I can't say if 6a/7/8 will fit, with their larger shielding. It's worth it getting these rather than fumbling with the old kind.

My colleagues were using the cat6A RJ45 Connectors and found that it is not working. We had to try many attempts before only a few will work. Please check on the quality of the RJ45 as we cannot use even a single piece now as we are concerned about the quality.
