I have very sensitive skin, and long hair that is prone to frizz. Most shampoos and conditioners either weigh my hair down so it is shiny buy droopy, leave me with a giant fuzzball on my head, and/or break my scalp and face out. The mixed chic products are perfect for me in every way.

It does a great job cleaning without stripping hair. My hair looks shiny and I have less shedding. It lathers very well for no sulfates. I shampoo twice, using my finger pads not nails to ensure my scalp gets cleaned thoroughly. It has a mild Johnson and Johnson-esque scent. I prefer strongly scented shampoos but that’s just me. I like this more than more expensive shampoos (living proof, virtue, purology, etc). I’m on my 2nd bottle and I will definitely repurchase as long as the formula stays the same.

I use this shampoo for my thick wavy naturally blonde hair and I find that it cleans well without stripping away good oils and damaging the cuticle with harsh sulfates. The fact that it works on so many types of hair like the reviews say is great. I only use it about once or twice a month. That said it has been a part of my routine for years and is probably my only consistent shampoo because I like to mix it up with new products a lot. If you are into natural solutions but still want a good clean this product is for you. Treating the ends of my hair with the mixed chicks deep conditioner is also part of my regular routine although I don’t like that the conditioner is currently not available in the smaller size on Amazon.

As a senior i find my hair changing as i age; seems to be drier and rather blah. I am Irish and had red hair which i keep going thatnks to a marvelous hair stylist but somehow needed something to kind of perk up the 'do"! I was going through Amazon's lineup of shampoos and spotted the Mixed Chicks last week.I just used it this morning and I want to tell everyone who wants some shine and bounce in their hair to try this very gentle shampoo...very reasonable price for such a quality product. No one paid me to say or do anything and I don't write many reviews but this deserved some shout out!!! Keep on keeping on!!! thank you for such a find. my best always.
