ARKSEN Automatic Inground Above Ground Suction Type Side Swimming Pool Cleaner Vacuum w/ Hose Set

After several hours of attempting to adjust this unit to perform properly I boxed this unit up and shipped it back at a cost of $18.70, spent about $40 more than I had paid for this unit to repair my old unit but at the end of the day keeping the old one was worth it. Ended up wasting the $18.70 and my time!

This works pretty good for the price. Our pump runs 12hrs a day and it cleans the entire bottom and side of the pool. It will get stuck every now and then, but it usually unstick itself. On occasion I might have to reposition it. Our pool is Kidney shaped and about 20,000 gallons.

Simple, cheap and effective. I've had mine for 2 weeks and once I got the leaf catcher (purchased separately) and weight positioned correctly for my pool it has worked flawlessly. I have an open in ground pool and 2 dogs that carry 1 pound of sand in each paw. I am amazed at how well it works considering it's simplicity. Considering pool service costs > $100/mo. this will pay for itself in short order.UPDATEI have had it for 6 weeks and I leave it in the pool 24/7. It took a few days to get the optional leaf catcher and hose weight set so it never gets stuck. I have a unscreened 10' deep 32' X 20' in-ground pool and it is spotless. I have 2 large dogs and the pool is surrounded by trees. The only thing I do is empty the leaf catcher and pump strainer every 2 or 3 days. I am still amazed.

I purchased this cleaner for my new pool and with very little experience in the subject. I read for hours about best vacuums, cleaner types, etc, but they all had too many pros and cons that didn't help me to make a decision. I finally decided to give this unit a try and the results were not that great. The unit cleans in a very specific pattern that leaves about 50% of the pool unattended. It took me a very long time to set it up (instructions were BAD) and also to adjust the settings on my pump and valves to make it work some how as expected. However, after hours of watching this thing going and adjusting settings, the unit kept getting stuck on certain places and half of the pool never got vacuumed. I will try to send this back for a refund and will continue my search for a better pool cleaner, hopefully not in the thousands $$.

Bought back in Feb 2016 and now it doesn't work at all (Sept 2016), same pool, same pressure, no changes, it just stopped crawling all over the pool. Doesn't last long. Going to call them for exchange or refund. Not cool.

Not really working. Gets caught up and stops no matter how many ways I try to adjust the weights or the hose. The thing is a piece of junk and didn't even make it through one summer. Fell apart.

We've only had this a week, but so far it works substantially better than the generic Kreepy Krauly that it replaced. It's much faster, more efficient, and way quieter. It also works its way out of the corners/steps much better when it gets stuck.

Was surprised at the quality compared to my original Solaris G2--it's much the same. Just put it on and it workedperfectly, hope it continues to do same--will let you know. Would recommend this product and can't understand onereview that was poor. Go for it, tired of overpaying and getting replacement parts all the time.
