The leather appears to thick and good quality. I apprenticed as a leather worker, and appreiate quality leather work. I have a 15.6 inch laptop, and it barely fits in the back compartment, but it does fit. A 17" laptop would not. As someone else mentioned, there are brass(?) rings on the bottom of the bag, which could theoretically scratch, though they have a leather ring in the middle and the edges are not sharp, so I think only be concerned if it is a delicate surface you are putting it on. There are lots of zippered compartments, and places for pens, credit cards/business cards, and a phone/calculator slot. Also two front pockets for cords and such. Modest weight but not light. There are two tongues that you push to open the case, which are hidden behind the straps in the front, very quick to open once you get the hang of it. Quite impressed.

I used my last leather messenger bag for several years and it was starting to look a bit worn so I went looking on Amazon for something new. I was torn between a few messenger bags of similar style but decided on this one due to it's appearance of higher quality. I have not been disappointed. I love this bag. I have been using it for several months now and it is fantastic. I have received many compliments on it. It is designed with a more "raw" leather finish. It does get a scratch here and there, but those tend to give it a more antique look. The bag has character. The leather is thick and I'm sure will last for many years, if not a lifetime. The inside is fully lined and has many zipper sections. The stitching in white gives a nice contrast and is well done. The push in clasps are a great way to allow fast access while still having the functional buckles for looks and adjustment. The handle feels solid and the rivet and stitching of the pieces that secure it will surely last a very long time. The strap has heavy clips at the ends so it can be easily removed. It's made from a thick nylon strap with a full leather strap accent. I'm super happy with this bag and highly recommend it.

As I thought it would be. Not a real high grade leathers, but lots of storage space and pockets. It does get scraped and show scrapes, but to me that's part of the look. A leather conditioner buffs them in so they aren't really noticeable. I would buy this bag again. Strap is very strong and adjusts to a good length to wear overt the shoulder or across your chest.

UPDATE (May 28).The seller is very responsive and responsible. After my review here I was contacted by the seller right away being provided with immediate support and feedback. Today I have received the replacement and this new bag is great (without any creases, etc.). For that reason I am updating my first initial rating up to 5 stars. Thank you for understanding. Peace.First initial review:The bag could have been more than impressive. Nevertheless, right out of the box it was with one side quite significantly wrinkled and creased (see the photos). Photos were taken after I even tried to flatten the creased corner. Initially it was even more creased with the wrinkled corner standing up against the surface of the bag. Most probably the briefcase was not packed properly and was creased during the packing process because it was already like that when I opened the box, which itself was not damaged.

I purchased this bag because it was advertised as 16" wide and after returning different bag advertised as 15.5" wide. This to fit a laptop that is exactly 15" wide. That laptop still stretches the sides of this bag. However, the build quality does appear sufficient that the leather will stretch slightly rather than rip. In the photos, you can see the side of the bag where the laptop is pushing out from bottom to top along the back of the bag, so the 16" advertised with must include the seams which are unusable. Additionally, the first bag I received had a tear in the leather, but the Aaron Leather was extremely accommodating and resolved the issue as quickly and efficiently as could be expected. All in all, this is a good product that I expect to last for years. For laptops just a bit wider than 15" though, it may not work.

I rate this briefcase as one of my best purchases ever. I love the worn look. The bag is stylish yet well-made. It shows scratches and scrapes on the leather, but that adds to the charm and character for me. Has plenty of room for my laptop and writing pads.

This beautiful bag 💼 has everything to offer. A great value; the leather, stitching and hardware is of high quality and will probably last a lifetime. Two things that are not in the discription or in any review; 1. Inside there is a clip for your keys where I have a also hung a change purse. 2. There is also a place for 4 credit cards in addition to the open pocket for cellphone or the three pen holder already described. Also, the bag comes “raw”. By that I mean I used neatsfoot oil and then golden mink oil that brought out the most luxurious patina. The white stitching really stands out and the now the bag looks more like it cost $ 500.00. The pictures show exactly the color and richness after the treatment. (Easy to do) So, you can either choose to have more of an Indiana Jones look or a classy look. Both looks are stunning. Look no further—-buy this bag you will not be disappointed!!!

Good looking brief case. Being a short gal I had to shorten the strap came with it so I can carry it over my shoulder like a tote. Get compliments often. Roomy enough for a 14 inch laptop, electrical cord, mouse, a large wallet, sunglasses and couple of thin file folders. Too much stuff it is hard to close the latches. It is heavy without anything in it so when it is fully loaded, it gets really clunky. But small price to pay for a non-fabric briefcase. I like the most is that it stands up firmly even when fully loaded:) Just had it for a few months, time will tell how long it will last but so far it seems to be holding up.
