I'm 5'10 would it be long enough for me to stretch my middle split?

My 16 y.o. son uses it. And he's about 5' 10"

how well has the stitching between sections held up with use?

I have two of these, shared between 6 of my kids....all dancers and gymnasts. The stitching looks as good now as when I bought them. And we've had them around 6 months.
