Was excited to get this for my 2 conures, but they want nothing to do with it. Intention was for a table-top toy they could interact with. I would not leave this in their cages because there is some glue visible on it and foam and other things they could potentially ingest while destroying it (anyone with birds knows they love to destroy things). The disappointment comes from the sound. The red-green bars sound alright (when I hit them with a wooden spoon), but then then the blue-purple bars sound awful - not musical at all. The birds are slightly interested with I hit the red-green bars, but won't come near it on their own. 3 star rating is based on the sound.

My chickens do hit the various keys to Crete "music". I started out sprinkling scratch on the keyboard. Much fun

I bought this xylophone to hang in the chicken pen. It comes with a chain and clip for hanging, unexpected and totally great because it made mourning it easier. Decent quality and its light weight enough my chickens don't have to peck very hard to make a sound.

Can't wait for the snow to stop...so they'll hook up the instrument, And the chickens can make some music!!! Should be fun!!!

The chickens didn’t really like the product. I remember the one I got my kids when they were little. It was much sturdier. I had to glue this one right out of the box. Not worth it.

Makes very little sound no matter how hard it is pecked or even with a mallet. Useful as decoration only.

Appears to be pretty sturdy. Will see how the chickens like it and how it holds up!

Colorful but did not have good tone. Chickens ignore.
