Black & Decker 79-010-4 Workmate Swivel Grip Peg, 4-Pack

These are perfect for replacing the dudads on the workbench I picked up at a garage sale. They work great and fit nicely. Hopefully they don't get lost before this bench goes on to its next owner.

Perfect swivel peg replacements for my Black & Decker workmate 225. They match the originals exactly and work perfectly in my table.

These Vince dogs fit my work mate 425 perfectly. They are snug, but they remove easily. They are 1/16” higher than a 3/4” board, so they would interfere if sanding or plaining 3/4”stock. With all the negative reviews on bench dogs in general, I’m just glad they fit!

Be aware that at least one vendor is sending out a different model of Black and Decker workmate bench dog. I love the workmate and all the stuff that goes with them. I own several of those wonderful tools, and recommend them to all young people building their first toolkit. I wanted an extra set of these bench dogs for one of my 225s, but what I got were the larger dogs used on the 425. They will work just fine, but I really wanted the smaller footprint of the smaller dogs. The dogs pictured here are very tough and work very well to grip odd shaped work pieces. The bench dogs are not indestructible, but you have to work hard to ruin them. The larger dogs work just as well, are just as well made, but take up more room. [EDIT 5/18/18] Genuine Black and Decker bench dogs are fully compatible with all models of Black and Decker Workmate, with the exception of the little workmate/toolbox they no longer manufature which cannot store the larger dogs in the space provided (they fit the holes in the vise jaws though). Third party bench dogs or "workmate-like" tools may be perfectly fit-for-purpose but shouldn't be assumed to be compatible with B&D tools and spares. Ditto 3d-printed bench dogs. Caveat Emptor. Length seems good, they click into place on my WM200. Diameter seems good, too. They don't wobble around too much but they do spin, so mounting irregular shapes shouldn't be a problem. Delivery was prompt, they fit my old unit that I lost these for years ago, and I'm happy.

I am rebuilding a Black & Decker Shop mate I bought in 1999. I am in the process of rebuilding it. This item is indispensable in the rebuild. Highly recommend.

These grip pegs replace those that came with a Workmate 225 I purchased 25 years ago. The replacements are the same size and shape as the originals, except the diameter of the peg is slightly smaller, which allows them to spin freely in the bench hole. The originals fit firmly. I have used these grip pegs several times, and this difference did not cause any problems.

The fact they fitted straight in, even though a little different in shape to the originals, but they work
