Good for the money so far
just got them like 5 minutes ago, verified they work and the initial sound quality.First impressions, they are good, but sound a little shrouded or muddled. it feels like there is something between me and it. I assume by the price it might be the components or build quality, but also possibly my listening style. I like a v shaped sound (high highs and low lows but light mids), These have an almost flat quality to the sound, neither good or bad, just different. Could also be that they are new and in need of a break in period, so putting them on a tone generator to let them break in proper a few days.As far as build, I see nothing wrong. The chord doesn't make sounds when rubbing my clothes, so that's a plus. the shape is a little weird with a long piece connected to the wire and the speaker enclosure attached, it is very thin, thought it'd be thicker, but feels solid. BTW the way they go in your ear is as the ad shows, the long flat piece to the front. I tried both ways and that fit best, easier to remember is the controls will be on the right wire not on the left.I have been using the JVC Ha-fx40's for years, had a few bought up before they stopped selling them. On my last pair now, so need a new favorite to replace them. Going to be checking a few different ones, including the NRG X and a few others. Looking forward to the search, not sure if these will win, but they are not too bad, especially for the price if you need some but can't drop $30-$40 right now.Update, After running them a few days on a tone generator (basically an Android tablet with a tone generator app) it's not perfect but it's good for loosening things up. They are not bad, but the sound still doesn't fit my preference. I like a V shaped sound, solid bass, high clear highs, but low on the mids, these earphones are more a flat sound profile. These are for people that like that style, with a good enough eq you can get what you want, but at $15.00? No need to they are going to be my MP3 player phones, but unless my last pair of JVC's wear out, I won't have them as a daily driver. The search continues for my next set, but these are good for the money. I'll leave the 4 stars up because they feel solid, just not my taste in soundLast edit, I found something interesting, the ear pads that come with these have a very tiny hole, for the sound to go through. I switched to a pair of my big hole JVC HA FX40 ear pads and it did open up the sound some. The hole on the bud itself is like about 4-5mm across with a perforated silver cover (considering removing them to see if sound opens up) the Earpads (plugs have a 2-3mm hole and were a bear to put back on(hence why i investigated. So if they sound muddied try different pad/plugs and maybe it helps.Last last edit: I know last one was supposed to be the least, but I pulled the shields out, all others I ever seen had a nylon mesh screens and barely stopped nothing sound wise. It opened the ear buds up sound wise, the sound is so much better, Should you? Up to you, I had nothing to lose, as they weren't to my liking and only like $15.00. Did they sound better then the JVC's i'm comparing them to, not quite, but they to sound louder and clearer with those screens out. last (finally) update, they are better but not quite what i'm looking for, good to play my MP3 player on walks though

Great IEMs
Let me start by saying that i own three of symphonized ear phones. The NRG IEMs, the Sensation Bluetooth on the ear and now the newest release Pro Premium. These IEMs sound spectacular for the price i paid, they usually sell for 30-35 dollars and are worth every penny should you buy them at that price. I have both the Sony ZX2 walkman and the Astell & Kern 120ii, i rip my cds at 320 AAC and the music sounds amazing across the board. The signature sound is basically same across all bands, bass is just right, mids are either a tad forward or just in the middle, the highs are just as pronounced. Now to explain why 4 stars and not the whole 5. This is because i consider myself an audiophile and i possess Sony's flagship IEM XBA-Z5, Audio Technical M50x over the ear and they simply produce an amazing sound, but they cost 550.00 dollars for the Z5...Ouch!! I can tell you that you will pay dearly to achieve a slight better sound and it can get out of hand, i see myself on that path because i simply love to hear every detail in music. Well, back to Symphonized Pro Premium, they come with a 10mm dynamic driver and trust me they produce very good sound. However with some type of music at high volume, if you have good ears, the bass can be heard crossing into the mids, but again its at high volume and not with all music. i found the ear tips that have the double flange are the ones that sound best for me, they are included. I really enjoy these IEMs and you will too. Now keep in mind, if you feed it junk, it will sound junk. I listen to 256 kbps and up. I have some Flac files and i simply cant tell the difference between 320kbps and Flac. Buy them, they really shine. And no i was given these at a discounted price for my honest opinion. I can tell you that somehow i stumbled into these pro premium on my amazon feed at 16.00. i thought it was a joke so i went to Symphonized website and they were listed at 35.00. So, i went back to my amazon page and jumped on these babies for giggles. Songs i reviewed, I cant get enough of your love by Bad Company, the bass in this song is so pronounced, Someone i used to know by Gotye is great, September in Montreal by Anne Bisson is just as great. I can go on and on. I love them.

Not as good as other Symphonized products
I've bought multiple sets of Symphonized in-ear earbuds in the past and always been happy with the quality, especially given the low price of their products. These Symphonized PRO Premium earbuds didn't live up to the standard I've come to expect from Symphonized. The earpiece is bulky and doesn't sit well in the ear. The ribbon cable is a nicer touch than the round wire on their other headphones, but doesn't make a huge difference. The sound quality is still decent and the price is great for what you get, but I still wish that I'd gone with one of their other headphones instead. I won't be buying these again, but they haven't soured me on the brand.

weniger Kabelsalat
