Golden adventures
Bought this gold pan thinking I'd be the next riverbed millionaire – turns out, I'm just really good at finding really cold water in Wyoming! Despite my dreams of striking it rich, my gold pan and I discovered more icicles than nuggets. Maybe it's not the pan's fault; perhaps gold is just really good at hide-and-seek. In any case, this golden adventure gets five stars for turning my search for fortune into a comedic cold plunge. If laughter were gold, I'd be a billionaire by now!

Be sure to scuff them up well before using.
We bought a set of these to try panning at a local river. One of the panners told us that he could we were new because our pans are still shiny and will need to be scuffed up, otherwise the oils in the pan will bond with the gold and make it float away. He gave us some Sunlight dish soap and advised us to scuff the pans up with some sand to get rid of the oil. Seemed to work, as we did end up finding a few flakes. The concentrator/screens were very helpful to get rid of the bigger chunks before getting to the good stuff. Fun product and a cheap investment for a family hobby.
