Great batteries at an excellent price
I've used Wasabi batteries in my Olympus cameras for several years now. I did have one that developed a bulge after about 14 months, but the others have been stellar.Decided to buy two of these for my Pentax K-30 and they perform beautifully.

Expanded
Holds a good charge and lasted a few years. But for some reason it expanded and got stuck in the camera, nearly damaging it.

Works great with my Pentax K-30!
It's always a good idea to have a spare battery when taking pictures. At first I was reluctant to buy a third-party battery, but for the price I decided to take the risk. I'm glad I did. The Wasabi battery is a great value. The battery is IDENTICAL to the original manufacturer's battery that came with my Pentax K-30, right down to the shape of the stickers on the back (obviously, the words on the stickers are slightly different). It slides and locks into the camera exactly as the original battery, and it fits the charger that came with my camera perfectly. The first charge seemed to take a long time (I was probably anxious) and the first time I used the battery it seemed to discharge very quickly (I was not being anxious; that was fact). However, after running it through three or four charge/deplete cycles, I can say that the battery seems to last just as long if not longer than the original battery and it charges just as fast as the OEM cell (much faster than the initial charge). It is very inexpensive, easier to carry than AAs and an adapter (which is still handy and I do utilize and appreciate this option for my K-30), and it's nice that it uses the same charger as the original battery. It's a great value. Heck, buy two! :-) Just remember to be patient with the first couple of charging cycles.

as good as name brand
holds a charge just as long as the Pentax branded battery which costs a lot more. as of July '23, this one hasn't ever swollen like my other off brand one did.

Last a long time.
I love these off brand batteries. Many people fear off brand batteries for several reasons. All I can say is that I buy off brand lithium ion batteries all the time for all of my devices (Cameras, Cell Phones etc.) and I have never had a problem with them. This battery last a long time in my Pentax K-r dslr camera. I bought this battery for a back up battery for a week long back packing trip in the Colorado mountains this summer. I had this one, another 1400mAh off brand battery and the OEM 1050mAh battery. I took over 16 GB of pictures and video over the week and still had the OEM battery left over after the trip. If you need more power then that, buy two, they are cheap!

Works great!
It holds up to the pentax brand battery so far... same up-charge time. And it has no problem with the camera or charger. As for 'life expectancy', I'll try to let you know. I'm quite happy with it myself. I would have bought a pentax battery, but I couldn't find one when I searched for it so, I bought this one instead. No problems so far.... works great! good grief!, I just checked, this battery is going for $14 right now.. I may buy another one or 2 :) ... Of course, I found the pentax battery as well, same price, dun know, quite pleased with this Wasabi battery and I know what to expect. Except, again, for how long of a life span it has...

Battery has expanded, won't use it anymore.
I've had this for over 3 years now (just past the warranty date, ordered on May 2013). It has expanded by 1mm in the center. I used a digital micrometer to measure. The original Pentax battery measures 14.062mm in the center, the Wasabi now measures 15.098mm!The expansion happened within the past year. I'm not sure what caused it. But it's now hard to put in and even harder to take out. I'm afraid it might explode, injuring me, damaging my camera, or causing some sort of incident if it explodes in a public place.Faulty batteries have been an issue lately with major brands in the smartphone industry. I have yet to find any reports of exploding batteries from Wasabi or any other third-party brand that makes batteries for Pentax. But I don't want to be the first, so I'm not going to use this battery anymore. It worked quite well before this though, so I'm giving it 1 star for that.

It's good for a replacement.
It's okay for the price. I used it to get around 200 photos (without turning off the camera for around 2.5 hours and I used the built-in flash here and there). If you travel and use your camera for the whole day, I suggest you buy two of these or try one of this type and another battery belongs to another third party brand (for me, I also bought DSTE brand to try, but I haven't had the chance to put the DSTE for the field test).
