It synced and works the fireplace and that is all that matters!

We encountered a problem when we pared the remote with our unit. The icon for the lights and fan were not showing up on the remote after we pared it to our fireplace. A human answered the phone number that was included in the package. No AI. No long wait times. No frustrating menus. Just a nice guy. He told us what to look for and what to try. He was right. We had accidentally unplugged the wires to to fan and lights when we pulled out the unit to access the control module.

This remote is poorly designed. Using it ruins the experience of owning the fireplace. All of the negative comments here are true. From the battery life (four AAAs) to the cumbersome interface. It absolutely has a mind of its own. Set the flame height to high and come back in three minutes. It has gone back to low. You have to trick it by entering a very high temperature. If you do, don't forget to turn it back down. Turn the remote on and it immediately goes to a secondary menu, that you then have to click out of. WHY?? And the $250 price is ridiculous. Avoid this product if you can. I can't, as its the only way to control my fireplace.

I’ve had two of these for a few years and I’m looking for replacements.They still work.Battery life even when not in use is terrible. The active sensor to keep connected to the fireplace apparently is always on and a serious drain.Touch screens are both out of alignment.Responsiveness is suspect.Returning to previous settings when turning on is very hit or miss.

This remote came with our fireplace and I would return the whole unit because of how bad this remote is. the touchscreen is not accurate and the set up of the choices make me constantly choose menu when I’m trying to hit on. Worst remote ever.
