Great medical response kit
I purchased these for our church medical team. They really like the variety of products it has. They went through and put everything where they wanted it, and it works perfectly. Easy to grab and go. My team of medical professionals were happy with this kit, and I appreciate how functional and professional it is. Not too heavy and a great size to carry anywhere you go.

Solid quality kit for the money. Just buy it!
I just received and set up this bag. As a critical care medic, I can really appreciate this pack. Looks are a little deceiving as it is a small pack but it really holds a ton of supplies. I bought this for the purpose of utilizing it as a trauma and first aid kit. This easily stows in my linen closet and takes up minimal room in the vehicle when used for out of town travel. I have a separate EDC bag that I utilize when traveling around town and to and from work. Overall, I really appreciate the cost and quality of this kit.Pro’s:1- Bag is quality made. Attachment points for the shoulder strap are metal instead of plastic. Stitching appears solid and bag appears to be made of high quality materials.2- Plenty of storage. On top of what the kit came with, I was able to also store a SAM splint, Recon tourniquet, IV setup, catheters, large ACE bandage, Israeli bandage, occlusive dressing, and a glucometer.3- It comes with the essential supplies needed to provide first aid for a variety of injuries.4- Plenty of pockets and elastic loops to set the bag up the way you want and/or need.Cons:1- It comes with an reusable IV tourniquet. I assumed that it was a legitimate tourniquet, but when it arrived I was disappointed. I added a higher quality one to the kit due to this. I have never been a fan of reusable tourniquets for IV starts. This one is a black nylon style so you will never know if it is truly clean. Not a pro or a con:1- It comes with a basic stethoscope. Nothing wrong with that. For me, I am a spoiled brat when it comes to stethoscopes so I placed one of my Littman’s in the bag instead. This is all personal preference so I don’t see it as a pro or a con. Conclusion:Overall, I give this bag a green light if you are looking to purchase a ready made kit. I don’t think you could personally set up a bag for cheaper. I commend Lighting X for providing such a great kit for an affordable price.

Nice kit, even better company!
This is a great basic/starter kit with room to add and expand! I purchased to keep in my truck as I spend a lot of time on the road and many weekends camping/hiking. The bag seems to be made well enough, the seams are tight and strong, the zippers function well and there are no loose or frayed threads anywhere. (That being said this kit will spend 99.7% of its life behind my driver seat, not being thrown in and out of airborne medevac helos) I have no doubt it will hold up well. The included supplies cover the basics well, with only a few things I would personally add (some quikclot, chest seal, tourniquet ect) and the addition of the bandage refill was a nice touch. My only issues were the bandage shears and the pen light. The shears that I received were anything but “stainless”... they were a coated black steel made in Pakistan and already had rusted quite a bit. The pen light was the old, non-replaceable, one-and-done battery type. I contacted the company directly via email and had a reply IMMEDIATELY. Turns out some items (understandably) were back ordered and I was told the correct items would ship to me when back in stock. All well and good I guess, I figured I’d never see the replacements when/if they “came in”... I thanked them for looking into it and figured I was S.O.L.THE NEXT DAY I got a surprising email from Tara with a tracking number! The replacements had come in and been shipped to me within one day!I was impressed w/ the quality of the bag and included supplies, but was blown away by the customer service! I will defiantly shop/recommend lightning X products!

VERY GOOD kit -- GREAT Vendor response!
This is a VERY GOOD starter kit. Is it perfect or comprehensive for every possibility or for a professional EMT -- no, of course not -- it's $120.That said it's quite decent and with a few tweaks I thought would be pretty close to perfect for what it is. I'm adding things to mine that I feel will be useful for my purpose and that's what everyone does to every kit. So here are my PROS and CONS:PROS:The BAG: The fluorescent yellow bag is awesome color -- it will NOT get lost in your trunk or truck. You'll be able to find it when you need it. The set dividers are well thought out and provide ample opportunity to organize well -- no they are not movable. The embroidered design is well done and easily recognized as First Aid kit.Items included: The included items are basics for run of the mill smaller trauma injuries. If you're at a baseball game or family reunion you can certainly treat any number of boo-boos with this kit -- even a large group.CONS:The BAG: The one main flaw I have is that IF the bag is not fully packed things will fly out the sides if the bag is tipped over -- the little wings they show on the sides that probably had that in mind are to short to be useful. They need full cross-flaps with velcro -- a zipper -- or some other way to contain the items when the bag is not full. Even when full any small loose items may spill out if tipped. Keep it upright and I think it's great. The items: The Stethoscope that came with the kit was beyond bad for the ear pieces. The ear pieces were painful and the substitutes would not stay on the threads and would possibly get lodged in an ear on the one I received. The scope tubes are very large and clunky, but the clarity was decent. (see remediation). The penlight is a disposable one and was DOA. (see remediation). I don't see the use for the ammonia inhalant. And the Berman Airways are beyond my skill -- but I guess if a doctor or other higher trained medical person came along they could save a life. The bandage sheers and hemostats were made in Pakistan and the quality is quite low.Remediation: I did as Lightning X asked if you are missing something or are not otherwise satisfied -- and contacted them about the Stethoscope, penlight, and quality of the sheers and hemostats. Andy's response was pretty fabulous and VERY fast. They actually sent me a better stethoscope (quickly) that has much better ear pieces and even has two additional sets -- the clarity is also improved -- it's their cardiology version. (No it's not an $80+ cardio stethoscope, only $25). Considering the cost of the bag and other items I thought this was above and beyond what I asked -- I only expected better ear pieces. He also sent the replacement penlight -- I suggested they include a reusable penlight without the battery for the future and he seemed like he would ensure they considered that. He explained that most medical hardware at medical shows is now made in Pakistan and is of similar quality. Mind you this is not expected to be top of the line in a kit like this -- not by me anyway -- and as I have my own sheers and don't expect to use hemostats with my skill level I was fine with that answer. YMMV.Summary: GREAT PRODUCT and basic kit for the $. GREAT response to problems by the vendor. EXPECT to add your own additional items -- like Adult and child CPR masks, Pulse Oximeter, larger bandages, cohesive & combine bandages, better EMT sheers, OTC meds -- whatever your family (or whomever this is for) may need. IF you throw your kit around roughly this may NOT be the bag for you -- get one with a sturdy zipper AND buckle straps. Oh, and the box of plastic "cheapie" household bandages -- well, I tried one out and they're actually much better than expected and stayed on 4 hours before I got tired of wearing an unneeded bandage -- that's better than some of the brand-name bandages I've bought..
