WHAAA-laa => distinctive, elegant, & sophisticated
=> improves quality of my daily life in a regular basis- whether precision applied to steak OR doughnut trust you’ll feel casually elegant and sophisticated- currently perform a lot of fabrication but can slice a break sandwich making me feel as gentleman in a red-arm leather club at Harvard- slim and impeccably assembled providing not smooth, but ultra smooth open, close, and slide --mmmmm.PEReCT !highly recommend and when board can attempt to figure how the samurai crest is assembled and installed with even finer details for those with a loop and magnifine glass

Nice quality
Very nice personal steak knife. There are 2 versions of this knife - this knife is the more expensive one. This price is higher because it has more finishing, metal parts are high polished, the inlay in the handle is polished very smoothly into the handle, you can barely feel it when you rub your finger over , it is shaped slightly different and is lighter. The liner edges are still a bit sharp, and needs sanding down to get rid of factory burrs. Overall it is a nice knife, the sheath is also made of nice soft leather.

Unique personal steak knife
Certainly not a necessity but an indulgance I wanted. The manufacturer is renowned for quality blades and Japanese craftsmanship in my experience has an excellent reputation along with Germany, Switzerland, and Sweden in my opinion I lost the first one I owned camping and after giving up not finding it somewhere in the gear I purchased this second one to teach myself a lesson. It's certainly a novelty and any of my pocket knives would cut a steak equally as good or better but I wouldn't want to use them at a restaurant like I would this. The blade is thin, easy to sharpen, has a solid lock back, and a leather case to keep it in. It's a refined steak knife - not a camp knife. Use your full tang for sliceing & dicing.

High quality, very gentlemanly, piece.
I haven't had a chance to use it as a steak knife yet, but I can absolutely attest that it's indeed razor sharp, so cutting meat is likely akin to cutting thru butter. That's not a colloquialism, you can actually shave hair off your arm straight out of the box. The opening and locking mechanisms are smooth and easy to operate. The appearance and feel are elegant. I'll be happy to add this to my dressed up EDC complement as it'll fit nicely into the pocket of dress trousers or a trench/suit coat. It'd be an amazing substitute for the everyday pen knife, or just something more gentlemanly when my normal SOG tanto folder is a little too aggressive. It's long, so obviously don't take it to places that don't allow 8"+ knives, but when well cared for, it feels as if it will last a lifetime.

Absolutely Beautiful, AND Functional, Steak Knife!
This is maybe the second review I’ve ever written for an Amazon item in like 20+ years…..I’m THAT happy with the knife! I was initially hesitant to pull the trigger on it, but am so glad I did. This knife, and the accompanying leather case, scream quality at every turn. The handle is a very handsome glossy black wood grain that is not slippery at all. The shiny nickel hardware jumps off the knife as a result. The blade itself is not one of those cheap thin blades, but is instead strong and OMG sharp with no “wobble” at all. I’ll be looking at this company for future knife orders and am contemplating buying several more of this knife as gifts……an absolute A+ find!

Classy and sharp!
I love this knife and never knew what I was missing until I used it for the first time. The Shun version of this knife is well worth the extra money. The fit and finish are near perfect and it comes razor sharp. My only complaint is that the blade is a little thin...just doesn't feel "substantial" in my hand. Otherwise, I highly recommend it.

Nice Lil Knife
I actually realy like this lil knife. I took it to work in order cut my steak during lunch... it was sharp, easy to use, it's not bulky so it can fit in any little corner of your lunch bag. Realy nice. I gave it 5 stars; however, it is a little pricey - but its a Shun. Great quality.
