So this fashion item is designed to pull up from your neck to cover your mouth ears and nose in cold weather. And this fleece feel item is just thin enough to let you breathe through it. Also you can wash at 30 degrees. And unlike the Chinese hat l also bought, this fits and should hold its shape. Scarf will be warmer though
