Bought it in March 2021 and by July 2021 already some cracks in the ribbing
I was disappointed to find that the old Goodyear Gatorback belts had been discontinued when Continental bought them out a while back. This is supposedly a new and improved replacement for the Gatorbacks. This belt is the AC belt for my 2003 Chevy Avalanche and in 4 months time I'm already starting to see some cracks form. I need to see if there's any kind of warranty on them, maybe I just got a bad one, but if not I'll be going with a different brand. I did a quick spot check on the main serpentine belt (same brand replaced at the same time) when I had it off the other day and it looks to be ok, but again, it wasn't a thorough check.

Correct size Matters..
This Continental AC belt in length is 37.7".... this is the wrong size for my 2001 Chevrolet Silverado 2500 HD V8 6.0.. It is too tight and making a whining noise.. Need a larger belt. ACDelco Brand from now on..... Amazon stated that this belt was the correct fit from my vehicle.....WRONG......

Once I got in there I was glad I did
During the replacement of the water pump on my wife's 2003 Chevy Suburban 1500 4WD Z71 with 5.3L Flex Fuel Motor, I thought while I was in there I might as well replace the A/C belt. Once I got in there I was glad I did. The A/C didn't look to be in the greatest shape and while you have everything apart to put the water pump in it was a piece of cake to replace this belt. Just a tip when replacing these belts, get it around all the pulleys first as they normally have a lip on them, and then move the belt around the tensioner last and they will go on fairly easy. The belt appears to be well made, and with a new water pump and this and the matching serpentine belt, the engine is whisper quiet.

A/C belt - good quality
This is the a/c belt for a 2005 Chevy Silverado 5.3L V8. I was able to install this from above. It was somewhat challenging getting the old belt off even with the tensioner completely released. I think if I had to do it again, I'd remove the crank side first - dropping it towards the engine. Then slip off the a/c side. The reverse of that is how I installed it and it was much easier. As far as the quality goes, it seems excellent. I had 70,000 miles on my original and it was starting to show some wear and I had a squeal from either this or the main belt. I replaced both.

AC Belt an Easy Change
I used this product is the AC belt on a 5.3L 07 Chevy Tahoe. The packaging states that it fits a 1.8L Subaru and it does, but it is also the same size as the AC belt on the 5.3L. Not to be confused with the main serpentine belt: http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B000C34KT2/ref=oh_details_o03_s00_i00You must remove the main belt first. Then insert a 3/8" socket post into AC belt tensioner, pull, remove belt, and replace. A very easy project for a beginner. Our local GM dealer wanted $35 for the belt (AC Delco) and $35 for labor. I bought the Goodyear (a better belt, in my opinion) for $13 and change.I've used Goodyear Gatorbacks for some time and will continue to use these belts. They are the only belts that I've used that do not squeal.

Only use gatorbacks! (when possible...)
Gatorback belts are usually the highest quality ones on the market. One simple thing makes sure they never squeal - they don't have a different material where the part number is written. Most other belt manufacturers use a "less-grippy" material than rubber for their part number label, and it will often chirp whenever this part of the belt passes over a pulley.Used this on my 2005 Silverado 4.8L w/ 140A alternator. Replaced both belts, both tensioners, and the idler pulley in about 1/2 hour. Only two tools required: 15mm socket wrench and 3/8" drive ratchet. After 94k miles (and 8 years) on the original factory belts and pulleys, the A/C belt was heavily cracked and all the pulleys sounded rough.

Sceptical at 1st, but it worked!
Ordered for my 2003 Yukon with the 5.3L engine. I usually buy OEM from the dealer but thought I give this Goodyear belt a try. Package said it was for a Subaru when it arrived, but the Amazon site said it fit my Yukon. It did! This is for the AC which is a smaller belt than the main serpentine that runs everything else.I suspect this belt also works as the main belt on a Subaru.Had to pull a lot of plastic shrouds off to get to the thing, then remove the main belt. The inside of the belt looks funny and I understood why it's called gatorback, but no issues once installed.

Amazing belt.
Love these belts. They obviously do not fix pulley alignment, but the eliminate the squeak that comes from it. It’s the only belt I put on my cars now.Amazing belt, extremely highly recommended. It is worth the price.
