WASTE OF MONEY
I Order This For Sj 6 legend. It Connect Well But The Voice Quality I recorded Is Worst. There Is No Noice Cancalation On This Mic Don't Buy And They Don't Allow Return This Product Please Please Don't But ItIt's Waste Of Money & Time .

Poor noise cancellation
The problem with SJcam's is that you have to buy their accessories only. Sound quality is good of the mic but sound cancellation is really bad. The windscreen is of no use and it does not reduce wind noise at all. You will have to make a "jugaad" to reduce noise. This mic is also costly in comparison to other mics available.

Works Great!
In an altered universe, people review the wrong product. This mic is an SJ product and works fine with my SJCAM Star. It reduces wind noise over the built-in mic. My first video with it was shot in 40 km/hr gusts and only when I was walking directly into the wind was there any wind noise at all. I had previously purchased an unbranded mic and it did not work at all. Only SJ products seem to work. The Lavalier has a gooseneck end which I found useful for mic placement on my clothes. The cord length is ideal for shooting with a monopod or stabilizer.

Don't waste your money.
If you plan on using this mic for Motovlogging dont waste your money. It's useless. Can't hear anything over the wind noise. Even after adding a dead cat. I am now having to cut into the wires to make my own adapter so I can use a real Mic. Since nothing else works with the SJ7 Star without making your own adapter. Garbage product.

This is a real bonus for the legend camera. If you are brave put the hole in the side of the case plug the mic in and go riding, this worked flawlessly on my ATV

Dead out of the packaging.
Zero stars if it was possible. Mic was dead out of the packaging. Forced to use SJCAM branded mic and received a DOA product.
