By the way, the wattage of the lights on a lighted tree top are different that the wattage of the lights on a tree, so as a general rule, a lighted tree top should never be connected to the lights sets on a tree. This can cause the fuses in the light sets to blow out. It is always best to use a separate extension cord for a lighted tree top. Best regards,

Q: What are the bristles made out of? It looks like two different materials in the pictures.

There are two different types of bristles. If I remember correctly, one fuller, longer "needle" type is used in the interior of the tree to fill in spaces, so you can't see right through the tree. The other shorter "needle" type are on the outside ends of the branches.
