The road pieces fit in perfectly. Cities and settlements don’t have dedicated spots however.This thing is awesome!

This is a great product, not only is it simple to use (just click the pieces together), but the plastic is thick and durable. The board can be assembled for both 1 - 4 player configuration, as well as the 5 - 6 player. The blue-colored plastic blends well with the sea tiles and the raised sections hold the hexes in place perfectly. Now, if only they could make a nice carrying case to fit this board and the base game hexes, we'd be set!

I love the board so much that I wish there was a way to have extra leaflets for the four expansions and extensions! I can't wait to use it with my 25th Anniversary Catan board.

Works great for settlers

This is the third one I have purchased. I have had mine for many years. And have give others for gifts. Works great for an earthquake proof board. Anyone who has played catan knows what a tragedy it is if someone bumps the board. Love it

Tired of your board getting messed up, or have an uneven surface where the tiles wont lie flat? This cures it all. The not only do the hexes stay in place, so do the roads and ports. I wish there was a way to do that with settlements and cities but because they vary in size and go in the same spot I can see how it would be a challenge to figure out. Regardless this board is a must have. You will no longer us the borders of the catan game (so make sure you have plenty of ports--they also come in expansions), players can now slide the game board closer to them when deciding moves with our worry, bad glare form game pieces just slide the board etc etc. Comes in a great box for storage, and putting it together is simple, even with the expansion. I don't know how I was able to play catan without. So worth every penny.
