Good little stove for a lighter pack. I haven't used it as an alcohol burner but the gasification process on solid fuel burns very hot and if the fuel/burner tray is packed correctly will burn for a lot longer than I expected. Some preperation of your solid fuel is required as you dont want to obstruct the vents in the burner chamber. If you want to get the full potential from the stove a small saw (an army knife saw is sufficient) and a few minutes to chop down your twigs/sticks to the correct size will have this little burner going in no time. The ashtray fits nearly underneath inside the bottom chamber this prevents scorching of the ground and it does a good job of catching any waste from the stove "leave no trace". It all comes packed in a small mesh bag for easier packing/carrying and all pieces slot together in reverse to bring this down to about the size of a multipack of blank compact discs. The foldable stove arms could be a little sturdier for my liking but all in all a solid investment for me as I don't need to keep buying gas for my other stoves anymore.

Made some banging hot dogs and some good pot noodles during download festival and look forward to using again next year, but next year will get some better fuel blocks as I used about 5 at one point to boil 800ml of water

Great little stove. Stores away in a small bag and is lightweight. Tricky to keep a steady low flame for cooking but I'm sure I'll get used to it. The tray to catch the ash does get hot so be careful what you put it on. Looking forward to using it again. Price is ok, but I wouldn't say it was a bargain.

Works ok, but arrived with parts missing. Amazon stated contact manufacturer, which I did 3 times but was ignored.

Fell apart before we could even use it - one of the pan supports fell off meaning it couldn’t be used. Absolute junk

For sub £30 I cant expect too much but I was really surprised at how well it worked.My first burn I tried debris so dried grass, leaves and sticks. The tomshoo worked really well but needs constant attention and needed to be fed regularly to keep it running efficiently. As I was burning raw materials there was alot of smoke from the fire and loads of soot build up.The second burn I used cotton balls coated with vaseline as my starter and used 100% wood cat litter. Oh my days is the cat litter good. Burned for a solid hour with no top up needed. Added benefit of this option is zero smoke and no soot build up anywhere. If you go the cat litter route just make sure the wood pellets are 100% wood or your going to have a smelly smokey burn and unable to cook on the grill.Bags of the cat litter are as low as £5 on amazon which is the fuel option I would strongly recommend.

Great camping stove that folds down nicely.

I have used this little stove for a long time now, and I can truly recommend it. I specially searched for a compact, lightweight stove with secondary burner, and I found this to be an excellent product. It's amazing how tall the flame can become, and burn extremely cleanly after started. You should first carefully fill the fuel container with densely packed sticks, otherwise there might not be enough energy to cook your food. And not too long sticks, so that the secondary air vents do not become blocked. Also the pan holder should fit in its place after the fuel sticks. To ignite, I recommend putting birch bark on the sticks, then whittle some tarry wood and ignite, so that the fire advances from top to bottom. If necessary, add small sticks to help keeping the initial fire going. Once started and the hot secondary air burns all the smoke, the elongated flames spread the heat evenly while traveling along the outside surfaces of a pan. And remember, it is easier to success at once rather than refueling during the cooking. I recommend practicing, first times just by trying to boil a good amount of water to get familiar with the stove. And in wind the heating can be tedious, but its not a design flaw of the product, the user should take the conditions into account and search for a calm spot. I happened to find a little cast-iron sauce pan with a lid, in which this compact stove fits into in its convenient bag. What an excellent combination! It is my go-to choice for making delicious camp meals in the woods. The handles are also helpful for handling the hot stove, but be careful especially with heavy pans on the stove as the handles are designed the portability in mind. One thing I needed to prepare afterwards was a bottom plate made of sheet metal, to help holding and collecting (hot) ashes.

La construction en aluminium est solide, ce qui le rend durable pour une utilisation en plein air. J'aime sa facilité d'utilisation et la rapidité avec laquelle il chauffe. Cependant, je lui donne 4 étoiles plutôt que 5 car je pense qu'il pourrait être un peu plus stable sur des surfaces inégales. Dans l'ensemble, un bon choix pour les campeurs et les randonneurs.
