Fantastic!!!
The media could not be loaded. This really is a great set!! It comes in its own tub with a clip on lid to keep all the pieces up together. It includes a booklet and the pieces were in several small bags within the tub when it arrives. We emptied them onto the carpet and counted each model piece according to what’s on the back of the instruction booklet to make sure the correct number of pieces were there and we weren’t missing any. All pieces were there. It does say you can download the app both on google play and the iOS App Store. Which I did on my iPhone, but I couldn’t find the corresponding kit on the app, so I found it much easier to use the laptop to go to the Engino website and look for the kit on there. My 7yo then chose what he wanted to make. You click on the item and it gives you step by step instructions starting from the very first piece. You can click back to the previous step, repeat the instruction, zoom in and out, and rotate the pieces on the screen to make it much easier. I could have done it on my tablet but I found using a mouse much better ie. the scroll button for zooming in and out etc. There were a few tricky pieces ie. you couldn’t just put them together, you had to jiggle them about or remove previous pieces to slot new ones in, but to be fair it wasn’t difficult and I’m a 45yo woman. My 7yo really like doing this. It’s a great way of spending time together, or to be honest when he gets older to do it himself. You can choose from 30 different models in this kit, so for me this really is a fantastic kit for the money! The pieces are easy to pop/slide and click together and easy to come apart by either pulling/sliding or using the remover tool that comes with the kit. They are sturdy pieces too and not ones that would break easily either. I love that they do these kits for girls too. Just a shame they didn’t have these when I was younger as I would have loved one!!

STEM-based building kit for 8 years plus -- recommended!
A fab STEM-based building kit for the potential engineer (young or old) in your family. It is aimed at 8 years plus, but my adult brother's eyes lit up when he saw this so I don't think my nephew got much of a look-in when it came to doing the builds. As another reviewer has commented, this is very much a plastic version of Meccano. The kit arrives in a large and sturdy plastic clip-seal box, which is useful for storage when the pieces are not in use. All the pieces are grouped in separate bags and there is an fairly thick instruction manual which details how to make two vehicles (picture instructions): SUV and tractor. There's also a leaflet with information about the remote control. You are however not limited to just two vehicles as there are 58 models online that you can choose to build as well as or instead of the two in the manual. These are quite challenging to build (according to my engineer brother) making then both educational and great fun, and then you have the added fun of playing with them after they are built. My brother is very pleased with this product and says he is happy to recommend. The price was not available at time of review, but I seem to remember it was around £40 when I got this item, which seems reasonable for its quality, educational value and the variety of projects available.

Use the app for a 3D instruction system
The media could not be loaded. Firstly despite being in a blue lidded box it’s actually quite nice to see pink and purple toned construction blocks as they are often male orientated colours. 20 items can be made with this kit (not all at the same time). The booklet it comes with could do with changing in my opinion. Personally although it’s nice to have a bit of educational reading most kids want to crack on with building stuff. The first few pages for me are wasted. They talk about motor cars and what you need to ride a bike. Does an 8 year old need to know this right now? The book could do with these bits removing and more pages of builds as the book only offers instructions for a car and a bike. There are another 18 items on the app you can choose to build. The app once downloaded allows you to follow the instructions in 3D which is great as a visual aid if kids get a bit stuck and can’t work out where they may have gone wrong. It’s a STEM set (science, technology, engineering and Maths) It fulfils this. Perfect for a budding engineer or creatively minded child. Those aged 7 and under may need someAdditional supervision as some bits are fiddly.

An excellent introduction to STEM projects.
This is very much a Meccano set made of plastic rather than metal. I would have loved a set like this when I was a kid. I loved all construction type toys. There is no doubt that toys like this will aid a child’s education in many ways. Even adults could learn from this set.It arrives in a Tupperware style storage box which is a great way to keep everything together. Inside are bags and bags of parts. Without opening any of the bags, you can see straight away that this is a quality set. Although they’re plastic the parts have been made with decent hardwearing plastic. The booklet is pretty comprehensive showing builds stage by stage. You can also download a 3D instruction set from their website which is very novel. This set can produce 60 different models, all motorised. You do need to supply a couple of AAA batteries for the motor unit. Some of the available projects are simple while others get quite complex. Ages 8+ is probably a good guide but even then they will probably need adult help. Who the adult asks for help is unknown! The asking price is a bit steep, but you do get a lot for your money. Besides, you can’t put a price on a child’s education.Overall, an excellent introduction to STEM projects. I hope that helps.

Low quality
Cheap parts. Glitchy app. Warped tires. My 8 year old is actually mad that I bought this for him.All the 5 star reviews for this terrible product is very suspect. Do not trust.

A fun toy for ages 7 and 10
Our granddaughter wanted to try her hand at some kind of building toy. Before investing in Legos, I decided to give this set a try. She has really enjoyed it with a little help from her 10 year old brother. It has a great plastic box with clasps and handles to hold all of the pieces. Only complaint is that one piece (circle with attaching arm on side was missing some sort of connecting piece.)
