Wordly Wise 3000, Grade 7: Direct Academic Vocabulary Instruction

Useful and Challenging Vocabulary and Reading Comprehension
As a former teacher and current tutor and reading specialist, I'm picky about the materials I use. I use the entire series of Wordly Wise because the books build on each other and are fairly consistent. They also have online games that are free (Quizlet) and offer painless review for students. This is extremely helpful; I can play on my screen and watch my student play on his - it'd be great if we could play together, but we're not there yet (at least for free -).The books end each lesson with a reading comprehension passage that often include references to classic literature such as Moby Dick; as an English major, I appreciate this! The questions are fairly deep but integrate both "right there" and interpretive questions. This helps the student who is really struggling get a few questions right even if they cannot get the grade level inferential questions correct. The meanings listed include more than one meaning, which is also good, helping students understand the complexity of English. There are several question sections per lesson - some of them quite challenging, and at least one that is fairly easy. This is helpful, because I have at least one student who is quite bright but really has a hard time with the material. Some students have never, ever been challenged by classroom material. They literally do not know how to reason or think. Wordly Wise is a good step in that direction.

Not bad
The book is good, it if they put answers will be really better.

Exactly as Described. Good Resource.
My daughter is in 7th grade. She needed this for school per the teachers demand. Did the job. Arrived in mint condition.

Ripped front page
Rest of the book ok, I guess, but definitely not a brand new copy.
