Edit: remember that brutal snow storm that hit Texas in February 2021? That one that knocked out power for most of the state for a week? The one that saw Austin below freezing for over 5 days straight? Welp, I had this bad boy covering my irrigation backflow through that. While I saw two pipes in the house freeze, I did not have the backflow freeze. Come late March I removed the cover, and all is good. No cracks, no issues. I even had a professional inspect my backflow afterward and they said it looks good. Make sure you secure the Velcro on the bottom so no cold air and moisture gets inside and freezes around the pipe, but if you use it right and follow directions you should be good. This purchase saved me an estimated $1,000 in repairs and is highly recommended.You know that Harry Nilsson song, the one about the coconut? You know how he talks about putting the lime into the coconut and mix them both up? He makes it sound so simple. Well, this bad boy here is just as easy. Looking at it, you see the pouch has four sides and wonder, “oh no. Which end goes over the pipe?” Well, let me tell you, you are in luck because one side has an OPENING! That’s right! It just <floop> opens right up. And you take that opening and slide it over your pipes and your done. No tools required. Now, there’s two sets of holes at the bottom so you can zip-tie that sucker together so that if the raccoons get a little rambunctious the thing stays put. But other than that- there’s no fancy buttons, no highfalutin WiFi 3D night vision camera on this. No motion activated thermo-warmer to keep the pipes roasty-toasty. It literally is what it is. It won’t protect your house from flying objects of undetermined origin. Now, it MAY give your neighbors dog a new target to aim his regular stream of liquid pestilence upon your yard, but let’s make sure we correctly blame the neighbor for being unneighborly and not the dog for being a dog. But I digress. Bag it, tag it, and get back into your warm house.

Worked well but molds easily

Thought it might be a little small when I first got it but luckily it fit right over my equipment. Nice design and has been working with the couple of freezes we have had this year.

Purchased to cover my back flow preventer and the pipe burst anyway. I had to hire a handyman to cap it off and further insulate everything. This bag covered everything but it wasn’t enough for temperatures in the 20s.

It is easy to use and install over back flow valve. It works well it's insulated to protect from freezing weather.

I really like the grommets and sturdiness of the product...Seem like it will last years rather than A year.BTW, the R-Value is R13.Again family business. That's important. In fact, the owner emailed me to ask me if I am happy with the product. When does that ever happen!Thanks John!

I ordered this for insulation purposes. I have not used it yet. But I am sure it will fit in the area I need to use it. I wish it would have had some sort of tie down that would have come separately to put through the grommets to tightened when put in place.
