Great Electronic Lock! Easy Installation!
The media could not be loaded. Here is The Standard Review for the Yale Assure Lock for Andersen Patio Doors . We have had this electronic lock for 4 years and we are very impressed with its functionality and durability. Installation was very quick and easy. The lock has a modern, seamless look. Simply touch the lock, type in your code and the door locks. If the door is unlocked simply touch the screen and the door locks - no need for keys! The batteries last for about 9 months with daily use and the lock lets you know if the batteries are low with plenty of warning. Overall a great electronic lock!

Overpriced and poorly designed
We purchased this mainly for the auto-lock feature, so that the door would lock after some minutes in the event that someone forgot to lock it at night. However, it fails to lock unless the lever on the door has been pulled up to engage the top/bottom latches. If you forget to do that, it just makes a beeping sound after it attempts but fails to lock due to a mechanical restriction (no sensor to detect the restriction). It could be argued the flaw is in the Andersen mechanism, which does not allow the deadbolt to engage without the lever pulled up, for no good reason I can see. Both Andersen and Yale are far too expensive to have overlooked such basic usage flaws IMO.The above was enough to make me return it, but I also think the interface is awful for such a high price in the year 2021 (it has a touch screen, but someone decided the interface should be designed to emulate a 1990-era phone interface where you press a number and listen for the next message). Even if the auto lock mechanism worked, there is an unnecessary maximum delay and the feature can't be configured to activate only at night (when we actually need it, else it would annoyingly lock all day, every time we go to the garden for more than 3 minutes). Finally, there were gaps between the door and lock, because there aren't enough screws to hold it together. With all these hardware and software flaws, the only feature left is that you can use this to avoid carrying a key. That's all you get, for a lot of money.(PS: I rated the wifi signal a 1 star because I did not pay the extra $ hundreds to activate that deluxe feature.... )

The ONLY lock if you have the Anderson patio doors.
I've waited years for someone to come out with an electric lock that works on Anderson Patio Doors (swinging kind). This is purpose built for that. It installs easily. You have to enlarge one of the existing holes in the door, but it's something that is covered up even if you want to go put the original hardware back on.Comes with a little bluetooth-wifi bridge which you can use or not. Supposedly with the bridge, the batteries last longer. I use LiON rechargeables and it's pretty easy to swap them as needed.Works with Homekit and Yale/Schlages app. Only downside is there is no key backup (they warn you about this). There is a pair of external power contacts in case the battery is dead and you are locked out.

Purchased four for remote Airbnb management
I installed the locks myself on my Andersen doors at my Airbnb. The only complaint I have is that you can’t change the configuration unless you are physically in Bluetooth or wifi range. Also having to have a bridge to communicate as a separate piece of hardware is definitely cutting edge like some other manufacturers. But the ability to monitor lock activity and change pass codes remotely works very well. It is also very helpful to have door position sensor to tell if the door is actually closed or open. These are very pricey but they were the only solution that allowed direct replacement on my doors.

Yale refused to adhere to Warranty terms
The media could not be loaded. Update September 2023I purchased SwitchBot Lock and it works for this door! It is way cheaper and has trivial installation. Works perfectly and highly recommend!Update August 2023I rarely do a follow up review but I felt like I had to in this case as I was unable to get any traction with Yale support. The lock stopped working. The knob kept on turning freely without locking the door. Seemed like an actuator has gone bad. I contacted Yale and they asked me to take a video of the lock when it is removed off of the door. I complied. The lock seems to be working fine. I also checked that the door mechanism itself works - it does. Yale told me it is out of warranty But this lock is actually advertised as lifetime warranty on mechanical components. I explained that to the support folks but they kept on repeating that the problem is electronic and it is not! I am very disappointed in Yale - I will not be purchasing anything from themin the future.Original ReviewI just installed this lock on my Frenchwood patio door. It was super easy to do, I only had to enlarge one exisiting hole from 3/8 to 1/2 inch so that the wire connector would fit throught it. The instructions were clear and it all works perfectly with the multipoint lock that we have on the door.

Good product if not defective
Bought one and had to return because it was defective. Yale support was a bit annoying but ultimately they replaced it. When it works- the product is good. Looks good and functions well

Initial review, No risk, well made lock-however 1.5 years after installation, part 2
My original review, highly recommend this lock. Perfect for Anderson door. Keyless pad works great!Great videos on line for DYI. Took me 90 mins. Now today, when engaging the multi point locking feature, pulling up the handle.-thus providing a secure lock. Has started to fail. The handle is slipping, will go beyond horizontal default position. See pic.Lets see if Yale will go above and beyond, 5 mos outside of warranty to fix..
