VECTRA 22 Fabric, Upholstery, Rug, Carpet Protector - 1 gallon/128 oz

When I wrote this I was not happy. But I have changed my mind completely!( time of purchase) I expected it to be more like scotch guard or other competitors. I bought a galllon that I wont even waste my time with. Amazon will not refund the product because of it being shipped back and is flammable. I bought spray bottle and filled it once with the gallon only to find it doesn’t help with white carpet and now I am out nearly $ 120 between the two. I will be ordering the DuPont advanced Teflon instead.Since they wouldn’t return it I decided give it a fair try and use it! As it didn’t repel the way I had hoped. I thought I wouldn’t have a use for vectors but boy was I wrong! It actually helped the liquid not to penetrate the fibers and would soak in but not stain. I used it on all my light beige curtains. (75% of my living room is door wall/ curtain ) After using it, I could wipe dirt and stain marks off with a wet cloth. Prior to that any marks would just smudge and leave a noticeable dark spot. Treated with Vectra the curtains will wipe away to flawless! Treating with Vectra also helped to keep dust from sticking to the curtains as well. The curtains not treated looked gross after a year with marks and dust! The Vectra treated curtains looked like they were still just washed. I went from washing curtains every year to washing every other year. When I wash I make sure the fabric is still wet ( That’s the key! ) and re- spray. A spray bottle and gallon refill have lasted me until now, I think about five years. I do use it on rugs as well (wetting the rug first) and clean/ repeat every year as we have heavy traffic. I would say Vectra extends the time in between cleaning by 4 times! There have been times I couldn’t find the spray bottle (my house was under construction and it took months to find! ) and would rather wait to clean than to waste my time and wash it with out treating it with Vectra. Time totally changed my mind! I love Vectra! The time it saves is well worth the money spent.

As an Interior Designer, I have used this product and recommended this product for over three decades!!!It is NOT water based like competitors! It stays on the carpet, or upholstery, or silk tie, or dress through many cleanings. The water based products are gone THE FIRST TIME you clean something off the surface.Vectra does not allow the liquid to go into the fabric, the liquid stays on the surface waiting for you to absorb it with a towel or even a paper towel. I highly recommend using this product and stop wasting your hard earned money on water based products that will eventually let you down.

This is my second purchase of this product …. I have only sprayed the product on area rugs ….It provides a sheen that dirt and spills have difficulty penetrating ….So far, so good …. a second application should provide additional protection with less product ….

Works great and last through a few stains before needing retreated. Applied easily with a standard garden sprayer. Recommend to spray outside as there is a strong Oder at first which does dissipate after a few days or so. Retreating with a spray bottle and rag does not seem to leave as much smell and can be done quickly. I work for a hotel so we treat a lot of chairs.

Working very well on my new sectional but not so great on my rug but I'm pleased with it.

Expensive but really really works. I ordered the refill because we’ve used the other half gallon we had. This stuff is beyond fantastic and better than ScotchGuard.

I love how the company notifies you right away that if there are any problems they are happy to solve for you. Well this product is perfect I have used it for years so I am extremely happy!

best thing to apply for creating liquid resistance....a littlie too expansive
