deceptively difficult to use
this product worked somewhat fine for me, but some parts of the ensemble made it difficult to use. i like that all the pieces on the racking cane and bottle filler wand come apart. this makes it very easy to clean. in images 1, 2, and 3, you can see all of the pieces in this kit (except the tubing) with all removable parts separated out. the racking cane has a removable plastic tip that reverses the direction of the suction (it sucks from the top of the top, not the bottom. this reduces sediment in the siphon). the filler wand has a nozzle, plunger, and spring on the bottom end, plus a removable nozzle for the tubing to fit onto on the top end. the stop flow clamp can also come apart in three pieces (top half, bottom half, and center ring that forces them together).i didn't think i'd end up using the filler wand, but it ended up being essential to controlling the siphon. i was planning to use the stop flow clamp (see image 4) to stopping the flow when my bottles got full. however, it isn't capable of sealing the tubing, so it ended up breaking the flow of the siphon or causing me to overfill the bottles. none of the other clamps i owned were able to seal the tubing either, so i guess that route is a dead end.the tubing fits snug onto the top of the filler wand, but it is loose on the tip of the racking cane. i couldn't maintain a seal on it, and it took a lot of trial and error to figure out where the air was getting in from. i solved this problem by using a zip tie to make the seal as tight as possible (see image 5). once i did that, i was able to maintain the siphon, but without this addition, it was impossible to use at all.moreover, the tubing came with kinks. this meant that when the hose bent, it would fold along the preexisting crease and stop the flow of liquid. i tried to use clamps to force the tubing to become round again, but it didn't work. you can still see the way the hose wants to kink up in images 6 and 7, even though it's in a relaxed state.i also found that 6 feet of tubing was too unwieldy for my purposes. my solution was to cut a ~1 foot long piece of tubing and just use that. as you can see in image 7, it's about the same length as the racking cane. i put this small strip between the racking cane and the filler wand, and it was way easier to manage. it also didn't get nearly as many air bubbles caught in it.in the final image (image 8), you can see the setup that i used to bottle my mead. ive only made 3 bottles so far, but this seemed like the best and easiest way to do so. all in all, i would probably buy this product again, but the fact that you have to alter the product to make it function (and the fact that the stop flow clamp is useless) makes it a bit of a pain.

Great value and makes racking easier.
The tip of the racking cane was missing when first delivered,, but the company happily made it right quickly. This works really well and the quality is great. I use it for homemade wine and cider so I didn't need to pay more for an autosyphon.Makes for quick and pretty mess free racking and bottling.

Didn't work
Does not work. I have to siphon it myself. No pump action

Not all there
The siphon crane was missing from my order. I ended up going to my local home brew store to buy one. It seemed like it would be less trouble that way. Aside from that, the order was as described but I found that the bottle filling wand took up more space in the bottle than I would have preferred. In my Bordeax bottles, the resulting airspace after withdrawing the wand was down just past the junction of shoulder and neck.

Finally, a great racking/bottling kit.
Very well made. Easy to use and clean. Got the 17 inch kit for 3 gallon carboys. Love it!

17 Inches is too short for any of my fermentation chambers.
Looks like they used the same picture for the 17" racking wand as for the 27" racking wand (sitting in a glass carboy).I didn't realize there were two sizes when I ordered, and it looked long enough from the picture. It is not.I'm not sure who would be able to use a 17" racking wand, or why they would even make one.Doesn't hit the bottom of my carboys. Might fit in my primary fermenter bucket, just barely. The bottle filler looks to be good quality, I look forward to trying it.

Made well
It is really made very well. It’s a lot faster than a plastic siphon that I bought previously... about the only gripe that I’ve got about it is that they don’t include any sort of instructions with it , so I had to do my own research... that’s probably not a biggie to most folks , but as an absolute beginner to wine making , I had never even seen one before . Other than that it’s well worth the money

Missing siphon crane
Despite the photos and product description stating included siphon crane, there wasn’t one included. Will have to look at buying one separately.
