Pierre the Maze Detective: The Search for the Stolen Maze Stone

My kids loved this from the moment we got it
My kids argued over who would get to find what! From the moment we got the book and opened it, they followed the maze, and then completed each of the challenges for finding the bonus items. Some things were very hard to find. And we did all of that together! The story was compelling too, for one that's told in such short episodes. This was like a maze plus a Where's Waldo. I had to tell them when to finally put it down. They would have spent all day with it. It's a lot of fun for the family. My kids are currently 4 and 8. I'd say the average 4 year-old would enjoy this with a parent. And above average 4 year-old could take it on alone after being introduced to a few pages. But it's more fun together.

Great for younger ages too
My son is 6-years-old and he loves mazes. He is *obsessed* with this book. He's able to do all of the mazes but he still loves looking at them over and over. My daughter is four-years-old and she really likes looking at it too. I am SO impressed: there are 16 giant intricate mazes with tons of detail. If you get bored of the mazes, there are a bunch of other challenges to complete as well. It's like Where's Waldo but so much better in my opinion. Will be recommending it to anyone with kids!

This book is a fun way to experience your child's imagination and delight.
My son and I do these mazes before bed at night. I find reading to be a chore because I find most kids books to be a little childish for my tastes. This book is a neat little vin diagram overlap between my son and my interests. We've had a blast. The artwork is really cool. My favorite maze was the forest village. My son loved the runaway steam trains.

This book is great!
This series is great an like Where's Waldo on steroids. I got this for my grandson but ended up returning it since I purchased one use and it came with every single page marked up. For that reason, I'd recommend you spend the couple of extra bucks and get a new one to avoid that issue. Clearly, the previous owner loved this book too.

G version of Where’s Waldo books
My almost 6 year old loves this book. There is a ton of things going on in the pictures (like a Where’s Waldo book without the violence), and there is also specific things to find and a maze to get through. My kiddo will sit quietly and look through the book on his own for a long time—definitely a win.

Entertaining maze book
This book as provided a few hours of entertainment to my 2-7 year olds. Excellent detailed artwork and fun, not-too-difficult mazes - perfect for about a 5 year old. I might get another of the author's maze books for another gift in the future.

Where’s Waldo evolved
A true spiritual successor to Where’s Waldo. There are more activities and creatively drawn Japanese miniature art.Kids love this thing too! It gets them really engaged.Get a magnifying glass, makes the experience more fun!

Beautifully illustrated, such attention to detail and many levels of complexity to keep them entertained for hours!
This is the gift that keeps on giving! More than a year later and the kiddos STILL break this out to peruse with friends or alone! Such attention to detail and many levels of complexity to keep them entertained for hours. This book takes the Where's Waldo series to a whole new level of awesomeness!Highly recommend!

More interesting than an iPad.
Brilliant book, my four year old grandson has hardly put it down. There's so much to discovering in it. It even takes precedent over iPads, wonderful.

Not an ordinary book
After reading positive reviews I've decided to buy it as a gift for a six year old son of my friend. He was amazed by the details at first, and still probably is. He sits with his younger brother (3) and parents and everyone enjoys something different about this book. I am definitely buying one for my son when he will be a bit older.

9 months later my son is still obsessed with these books
My 5yr old son loves these books so much, he goes to bed every night with one or both of them, and it's about the only book that he'll go for instead of TV or a computer game. They are so intricate there's always more to look at and the mazes are beautiful and inventive. Massively recommend.
