If anything, they are a little too long. Great for some things, such as cooking that splatters hot oil, but a little awkward for other jobs. they protect my hands from heat very well.

Love the cotton padding inside the mitts to help insulate. Many silicon mitts do not offer that and will get very hot when handling hot items for more than a short time.
