VTech Upgraded Audio Baby Monitor with Rechargeable Battery, Long Range, and Crystal-Clear Sound

Absolutely great product. Simple to use, great audio quality on the mic & speaker, and you can easily clip it to a belt or something if you are walking around. Also has a rechargeable battery on the speaker, so you won't be replacing batteries if you are using it in portable mode. Not worth getting a complex solution for a simple problem that was solved a long time ago, this is everything you need. Extremely happy with my purchase.

I was looking for an inexpensive way to hear my outside/inside feral cat for when we have the door lock on his kitty door and he wants to come back in the house. I found this unit and decided to give it a shot. I just place it by the door and can hear him loud and clear. (Yes, he's a very spoiled cat!). I've only had it for about a month and a half but it works absolutely perfect for my needs. I'm keeping my fingers crossed that it will work for a long time.

Super simple and easy to use. The lighting feature when it detects sound/crying is a great benefit all while not detecting the fan. Great product and affordable.

Rating 4 stars because the range and audio quality are great, and the connection seems more secure than other types. I also love that there's no constant static when it's on. 4 potential improvements, if V Tech is listening:1. DON'T HAVE THE MONITOR TALK WHEN YOU TURN IT ON. Any time you move the base unit, the handheld unit will LOUDLY announce that V Tech cares about your baby and give verbal safety instructions the next time you turn it on. This cannot be muted or skipped. It can, however, wake the baby you just spent 45 minutes getting to sleep. I have taken to turning on the handheld unit under a pillow on the other side of the house to be safe.2. Make the handheld unit heavier or flatter on the bottom. It frequently tips/falls off surfaces while charging. Again, noise while the baby is sleeping...3. Make the handheld unit easier to carry. I don't always have two hands to clip it on, and its rounded shape makes it hard to get a good grip on it. The "handle" at the top is too small to fit a finger through. Again, if I drop it, it makes noise while the baby is sleeping...4. Increase the max volume on the parent unit. We can't always hear the baby over noise at normal volumes in our room (conversation, fan on low, etc.).

Sound is great, very simple one way baby monitor. Size is appropriate to fit on a bedside table without taking up too much space. We just had our 4th child and think this product is much better/cost effective and closer to what you actually need for monitoring your baby while they sleep compared to the expensive video monitor systems. Buy this instead of wasting money on an expensive one

Had difficulty with a high tech monitor and bought this and am MUCH happier using this monitor than the video, wifi enabled, pricey monitor I originally bought. Perfect for travel, reliable. Only thing I would mention is to keep it charged or plugged in- the 'low battery' notification is very subtle- you could sleep right through it.

Overall the baby monitor works just fine and picks up the sound of the baby well. The problem I have with it is every time you turn on the "parent unit" it has to give a little speech! Also, the parent unit is not at all well designed in terms of being able to stay upright -the base is so narrow it falls over all the time.

Simple. And works very well. Size is perfect to carry around
