Love it. Works great for us.
I use it after each diaper change as a protective layer. Has been using it for about 3 months now and really like it. My baby girl ended up having minor diaper rash around 3 weeks old, that’s when I started using this balm, the rash went away after a few days and we haven’t had that issue ever since. I love the clean ingredients, and how it is nice and smooth on the skin rather than pasty.

Effective but gentle, compatible with cloth diapers, and easy to clean off!
I love this balm! We are an EC family and cloth diapered until she was fully out of diapers, so we only rarely had diaper rashing to deal with, but here are the things we loved about it:- so gentle on my baby's skin - it provided just enough of a barrier on her very wet overnights that it would stay on, but not so thick that we had trouble washing it off- it is cloth diaper-friendly! No greasy residues that affected the absorption of the diapers- it is great for more than just as a barrier cream or for diaper rashes! Hives from accidentally sitting in wild stinging nettle a the park? A thin layer makes the rash go away within 15 mintues! Grass burns from playing too aggressively then tripping and skidding to a staop? Balm it!

Great for Cloth Diapering and Sensitive Skin
I was looking for an alternative to common diaper rash cream for my baby with sensitive skin and something that would not stain cloth diapers. This stuff is AMAZING; like seriously. I have never used a product that had almost instant results. My infant had an allergic reaction to hemp inserts with a blistering diaper rash. OUCH! I used diaper paste for two days and it barely did anything but stain the diapers. I thought it just took a while for the paste product to work and ordered this solely to prevent staining. I expected it to work the same as the paste minus the staining. OH MY GOODNESS! I was blown away by the results. The severe diaper rash was GONE by the end of the day after two applications. She developed another rash a few days later (after this, we realized it was the inserts) and the rash was gone by the end of the day. This proved it was not the combination of the paste and this balm, but the balm itself. This stuff WORKS! I use this ALL of the time now the second I see any irritation. I have also used this for chafing and works great, too. I love that there is NO SMELL, LITTLE RESIDUE, and WORKS IMMEDIATELY. On warmer days, the skin can appear a bit oily where the balm is but that is expected, and this does not ruin clothing or feel oily to the person (I've used it myself). This is not lotion. It is meant to act as a barrier while healing the skin. Plain and simple: It works. Buy it. There is a reason this has 5 stars. I did not receive anything for this review.

This Stuff is The Balm... or Bottoms Up
I am a guy and have seen the magic happen from this jar of amazingness, due to our now 2.5 year old. This is just from the experiences of our family. When our kid was a baby, he had such sensitive skin. Had to use sensitive skin wipes. For some reason anything other would cause a rash, so, that was step 1 of no rashes. Then, the battle of the remaining mystery of what was causing repeated rashes after pooping. I noticed he'd get a poop rash, and daycare would then put on even more of their zinc oxide (desitin) based ointment. The worse the rash, the more they'd slather on. I noticed the pattern turn into a horrific cycle. So, I was like, hmmmm, on his next rash I put on just a little desitin and BAMMMM, he still cried when I applied it to his skin and he got a rash where I applied the desitin. Then I tried drying his butt with toilet paper after cleaning him off so he'd be dry, and BAMMM another rash where the desitin was. So, we tried some other ointments and I learned that he just broke out each time with any zinc oxide based product (even if they claimed to be with natural ingredients with beeswax... because I thought the zinc was helpful, so I tried one with beeswax plus zinc oxide.... and the same rash cycle happened). Plus, I am speculating that the ointments, which are supposed to repel moisture also don't let the skin breathe by creating what they consider a useful (harmful in our case) barrier.Wife had a sample of the Motherlove and gave it a try. Thrush on LO's bum? See ya later! (although for mouth thrush we used gentian violet; messy purple stuff which worked pretty darn well, but we used GV because our LO would get the super loose watery poops with any med the Dr gave for thrush, plus he'd get some Motherlove orally; read other comments from moms and you'll know how this happened). Diaper rashes? Bam, Bifff, Powwww, gone (wiped butt clean, patted dry, then applied this Motherlove miracle cure). And if for some reason a rash was starting in its early stages (because if you have a LO, there are times you don't know they have a poopy diaper because they are playing and running around out of smelling distance, so, sorry if my nose isn't buried in his diaper every second, and this happened at daycare as well), and he had a sore bum, this stuff would immediately relieve the pain on his butt and in most cases the rash would be gone later in the day, and for sure the next morning. This stuff, in our case, was diaper rash and thrush's worst nightmare, and his butt's miracle balm. Hopefully it'll work for you as well. Whenever there is a baby shower, this wonder jar goes in the gift bag.Note that it can be difficult to impossible to find in stores, but we are lucky we have a food co-op nearby that carries it. If you need it, order here and stock up. 1 jar can last quite a long time because you just apply a thin layer (thicker layers did not help us at all). Cheers!
