This is a very well written text. It is valuable in providing a panoramic view of world history. It is excellent for casual reading as well, as it's not at all high brow reading.

I enjoyed this text book. Broadly covers a wide range of ancient history and gives an appropriate amount of detail to understand without going too deep into each topic or period.
