This base lamp works perfectly for my ceramic tree. Cord is very good quality as well as included on/off switch. Original base on tree was damaged and cord a little shabby. To replace as original, quite costly. Tree set perfectly on lamp base and looks nice. Base, cord replacement $10.00. These vintage trees worth some investment.

This works well as a mobile lamp. I use it in my rental with a smart plug to keep the place looking lived in. I like the stable base that prevents it from falling over onto the carpet. It also looks modern if you want to use it in a more permanent manner.

The lamp base looks as shown in pictures, and works fine, but the description is exaggerated by calling it "vintage," "antique" or "charming" look. There is nothing "vintage" about this. It's just an ordinary contemporary, utilitarian thin sheet metal painted black lamp base with an ordinary vinyl 18 gauge black cord, styled like any basic lamp sold at any big store without any antique claims. It looks like it's converted from a basic ceiling fixture. The price is not so great either, as you can get a 6 foot standing lamp with two separate light bulb holders and switches and with two plastic shades in the same simple black metal style for below $15 at a supermarket. Or a more decorative small lamp base for a similar or lower price. The only positive in this lamp is the ceramic light bulb holder, which tends to come with ceiling fixtures. Also, it's quite light, as the base is not weighted at all. OK for regular size light bulbs, but the Edison style vintage looking lightbulbs for which it's intended tend to be oversized, so it may be easy to tip over.

I have a small living space and got two of these. they are great! Super simple and I like how they won't collect dust like other lamps. You can clean them well easily and frequently.I did put a feit electric color changing light bulb on mine that I can turn on/off with my phone and adjust the color because I will be using this as a red light for changing a baby at night. I tried using the switches and they were nice too, just having it on your phone is nice with dimming options.It might be super bright and annoying if you have it directly on your desk or something because it is just the lightbulb with no filter. But, that's exactly what I wanted (and what is advertised), and you can do what I did and change the bulb for one that is able to soften and change color.

I wanted to put an Edison bulb into the socket with a decorative glass jar on top as an alternative to cramming battery-powered fairy lights into it all.If the base was wider and flatter, I would feel more confident.
